Let it go man. Some of my TSU brethren know that and play dumb as hell to hang on to their amnesia filled narrative, They know damn well T. Harvey and Mike Davis in a major way are responsible for the last ten years of TSU basketball prowess, and yet they still choose to believe other wise.

When that all happened, I never found confirmation from the son - I don’t remember him committing and if he did great. He was teasing the entire time knowing his dad was going to Detroit. With that being said, I hope he loses every game next year. He may actually win because his son won’t be there to put up 40 shots a game. He thought his son was too good to play in the SWAC.

Not me, my beef has nothing to do with his success on the court. Davis helped us become a household name in the basketball world and did fantastic things and win as our coach. Created some happy times in my household.

But I’ll say this forever. Homeboy thought his son was too good to play in the SWAC. And that’s ok to think like that as many HBCU alums think like that too. It could’ve been 100% the sons decision on being to good for the SWAC but I don’t believe that. His son was shooting like 5000k shots (over exaggerating) a day in our gym. Always around the team…

I remember you saying Davis recruited like a coach who did not plan on being here long. and then I remember the interview where he said freshmen were not allowed to play at TSU. That was not true. He was laying the ground work for his exit when his son was ready for college.

The SWAC right now has a lot of 1st and 2nd year head coaches so he is SOL for the immediate future

Side note: A guy frm Valley who played against Jefferson in Milwaukie averaged 10 points a game and shot 40% from 3 as a freshman and transferred out to Detroit under Davis. Was a walk on who never played. I feel like yall do about Davis lol. Also glad to see that your current coach is like Ivory and doesn't force his son into playing more time than needed for the sake of being able to do so

Yup but I’ll stay out of that here. But one thing I can say, Aaric Murray was my favorite player of his tenure. If we could get those types of players in the SWAC consistently. Whew!

I think womens basketball at the D1 level has the biggest chasm between those ranked 1 through 10, and then those from 10 and on. The crazy thing is SC can beat a 5 ranked team like this as well. Womens basketball rarely has upsets like in mens basketball.
