2019 Swac Football Attendance - Week 13

Props to JSU......One can say many things about them but they do have loyal fans that particularly attend home games. I didn't want to comment on it in the game thread, but I knew the BoomBox Classic edged out the Capital City Classic by a tad this year just by looking at the stands. Both games IMHO were great crowds though.

It's no longer a classic. So, no promoters involved other than the schools...I believe.

You are making too much logical sense by showing them these numbers. Dipping into the school's reserve funds in order to balance the budget due to giveaways and freebies will eventually cause all kinds of financial problems. I've witness way too many so-called Black professional organizations (greek letter organizations in particular) do exactly that. The sad part, they do all kinds of fundraisers, such as selling fish dinners to recoup their financial losses. I call it Black folks creative finances. Basically, how Jindal created a $2 billion dollar budget deficit for the State of Louisiana. Thank God Louisiana finally has gotten the sense to elect a Democratic Governor to reverse Jindal's mess. Louisiana is now back in the black with its budget.

Do you know how each school ticket classify "ticket sales?" For example, suite sales (SU only - JSU doesn't have suites to sell), discounted tickets, student fee allocations, box ticket prices, priority seating fees, season ticket prices, etc. I think you may missing some intangibles in your argument.
SU’s Suite money isn’t in that figure.

That still doesn't explain the other intangibles up there. You are looking at number and not thinking about the story behind the number. If ticket sales and/or fees are higher at SU, then chances are you could have higher revenues if the average attendance isn't that far off from each other. Especially if JSU allows children in at $5 for a select game.
