2016 Swac Football Attendance - Week 7

Alabama A&M vs Arkansas-Pine Bluff
Attendance: 10501

Southern vs Jackson State

This official count is way off... there were at least 45,000 fans in Memorial
 
Just from glance, I would say the game attendance was somewhere in the high 40k or the low 50k. Basically, 10k short of a packed house.
 
I guess they are talking about paid attendance. It was evidently more at JSU game, must was a lot of comp tickets. Alcorn being the 2 time defending champ homecoming numbers was not good. Bama St awful with the facilities and salary. People want to talk about us , but better look at themselves.

No doubt... I was being a little generous but it was definitely around 50 thousand in attendance. The lower level sits around thirty thousand so you know they couldn't squeezed that many people on that one level. Somethings not right. ijs
 
I'm glad everyone other than JSU fans see what we be saying about our attendance numbers. You can't tell me if the official number was 32,000 then it needed twice if what was n the stadium to sell it out at 60,000. THATS impossible, maybe the vet only holds 40,000. Somethings not right
 
Also the Bama thing can't be right. Last time JSU had 1,000 fans without bad weather was when we fired James Bell. And as for alcorn quite a few of ur fans were at the JSU game. One had her shirt on and I asked her wasn't it there HC so she up here and she said because her sorority sisters wanted to come to the Jackson game. I was like ok well we surely welcome y'all. Lol. Dnt think I'm mad. But I'm still shocked at JSU tho. Man it was only about maybe 12,000 - 15,000 seats left and that was if u had to fill all the seats cause everybody not sitting on the number. Smh

Yeah if you're a JSU alum and you're saying confederate memorial only holds a little more than 40k you do suck at attendance. But the reality is that you're being robbed blind and have been so for decades.
 



When I entered the stadium tho, I am not sure what happened but I heard this man tell the lady scanning the tickets to scan a big pile of them later. I looked on this seat and it was a pile of ticket stubs... Maybe the scanners were not working at first so they tore the bar codes off.

Also, I think JSU reports SINGLE game tickets sold... so I don't think it matters if the scanners worked or not. I don't think our numbers includes students, comp tickets or tickets that come in a season ticket bundle.
 
If JSU can sustain atleast 25,000 for homecoming and atleast 15,000 for A&M then JSU should avg right around 21,000 home attendance 2016 at bare minimum. But if homecoming succeeds 25,000 and A&M succeeds 15,000 then the avg home attendance will be higher than 21,000. Way to go THEEILOVE

JSU will never get attendance right. smh. There was close to 50,000 easy in Veterans! Only the 2 top corners were opened/empty.
Either someone can't count or there were thousands of Comp tickets given out for this game.

Based on the videos/pics I saw, the folks were more spread out than packed in. I could see maybe 40K but there is no way there was 50K in there.

Look on Garrett Edgerson Facebook page. He has the 360 camera where you can see the crowd and it was just after halftime. It was close to 50,000.

Videos are one thing but, trust me it was more than 40,000 there. It wasn't capacity obviously, but much more than whats stated.
