2016 Swac Football Attendance - Week 4

The only game these Haymer stalkers really travel to is when JSU visits Alcorn. Do they ever leave the State of Mississippi??? LMAO!!!

It's usually 13,000 when we go. We are their biggest home game after their homecoming but only by a few hundred. We even have the bulk of the fans there for the game, so yes JSU does travel and attend games well. Yall and these lies lol.

For the record I would never sell my seats. Lol! We just knew that it would be low turnout. Over the years I have ask local co-workers about going to AAMU games, most responded, I used to go when Ray Greene or Cooper was the coach. Greene and Cooper are locals. Another common response, I used to go when my brother, cousin, uncle played or I never have been invited, strange to think you have to be invited to a public event. But this is the mentality of a lot of the Black Huntsville population. Now I give Spady credit for attempting to reach out to local recruits, high school coaches and even former players. Something AJ did not do very well. Then you have AD Hicks running everyone out of the tailgate area, it really looks sad. I have been a ticket season holder for over 15 years and other than family emergencies or being out of town, I am there and will be, who ever the Coach is. My 2 cents!
 
JSU has had a great crowd in Huntsville. I went to Comegies last game up there and we had a great crowd.. Last year may have been iffy but we had an interim coach and a losing record. Still think we took a decent crowd..

It has nothing to do with caring about swac games. We simply live in a predominantly white city where swac football is not a concern to locals here. If anything they think A&M students & grads think they're are better than anyone so why would they support us and come to our games? They rather stay home and watch auburn and alabama. I really can't speak on state but that is the dynamic we deal with here. If we moved all our home games to birmingham we would have more support from the local crowd like other schools with high attendance do.

But yet we got folks on here talking about why we don't go to games lol...it seems like some are mad that black people here don't get excited when they come to town. The average black person in Huntsville could care less about a SWAC game they at home watching Auburn and Alabama.

They don't know the culture of Huntsville especially black huntsville.

Your right, I actually look at the JSU game being one of a&m's biggest. We always bring about 80 percent of the total attendence.

the only one we've missed in the last years were UAPB and TXSU in 2014. Even before 2014we only missed UAPB because we came to the pv game because it was in Shreveport and we made the TXSU because we even had a botb with them so the boom rarely misses games.

I'll get mine in a few weeks. It's an early game too. 1p start so I'll be doing a turn around especially if I have to work at 11p
