Play calling was not that bad. Alcorn's defense was just bringing it tonight. Their defensive schemes were nice....kept SU guessing all night. Alcorn has some players on that defense.

Alcorns Defense has been legit all year, There Offense was there worst enemy but congratulations I knew they could do it

Man the middle of the field was wide azz open. We had our chances. Play calling killed it. When we tied the game and got a stop, our next drive we did nothing. That drive lost it for us. Our crowd has Alcorn shook.

The playacting on short yardage was HORRIBLE. Instead of running dives.......when you need less than a yard (or a sneak), a trap play is called.........DUMB. Alcorn didn't stop the run up the middle with the Dline....the outside rusher had time to come from the side.......because of the counter action. STUPID.

One thing I've noticed about Alcorn this whole year was the tackling. They made some rock solid tackles in the first game and this game tonight. I knew Southern's special teams would score points for them but the offense just got shut down. Alcorn played better defense and the run game was potent :tup:

CONGRATULATIONS ALCORN!!!!! The Braves played some great football this season, and showed determination from start of season to finish!

It takes hard work and teamwork to make it to a conference Championship. It takes talent, skill, and true dedicated teamwork to do the same thing back-to-back. Championship appearances (again).......conference divisional champions (again)........repeat winning season (again). That's never a small feat and is an accomplishment a lot of teams (HBCU or pwc) would love to have bragging rights to. And to not be shaken by all the controversy and distraction shows unmovable faith.

That was on both sides of the ball. The middle is always vulnerable even in the NFL but even when they went to the middle they did not consistantly get big yards. Alcorn's defense played exceptionally well.

su's special teams did nothing special. It was more Alcorn's lack of simple assignment blocking and slow kicking that did them in.

This is very true. I want to see this improved next year. I wanted to pimp slap Special teams yesterday.
