2014 SWAC Championship attendance

Over or under 35k this year? The SU lower side looks to be almost sold out, while alcorn has a long way to go.

SU's endzone is blocked off, and 116 117 and 118 is as well so yeah but everything else in the lower levels will be gone by today probably. The 300s will have about 6 sections at the most gone.

Who lied to you and said we have a long way to go? Dude Alcorn has been buying tickets like crazy. I've seen people post pictures with 5 and 6 tickets. I know someone that bought at least 20 tickets for his friends and family. I have 4 tickets myself. Plus, word is that the suites are blocked because Alcorn people have already rented them out.

It might not be a sellout but Alcorn will definitely be in Houston. We're buying our tickets.

They saved SUites for the western champion. Alcorn people tried to buy SUites on SU side but they made SUre the Western Champion fans had a opportunity to purchase some. We had ours on hold for about a month or so, but had to pay for it Monday. We emailed the sales person right after the BC. My cuz is the one who put that foolishness on SWAC Beef :smh: . They have a map on Ticketmaster that shows which seats are gone btw. Tickets went on sale at SU Tuesday, and the lower level was sold out by 1pm.

:tup: :tup: Y'all endzone seats are going to sell out, and maybe 4 or 5 in the lower level. Ticketmaster showing that the 300 endzone levels seats are still full but they blocked SU's endzone seats out for whatever reason. I'll say about 35,000. Still a good number

Barring inclement weather (and it appears that this year's weather will be much better than last year) i am willing to say around 40K... at least 30K worst case scenario

Weather looks so much better than last year's Ice Bowl.. LOL

Saturday's Forecast High: 70 degrees Low: 62 degrees with a 40% chance of rain.

in an enclosed Stadium.... GREAT Stuff!!! :tup:

I'll give it between 25 & 33k. The weather will definitely be a factor, but I honestly loved everything about that ice cold wknd last December!!

30k is my estimate and that is damn good for a championship game in a neutral site. Alcorn fans are ready and so are the Jag fans. SWAC fans like me are ready as well, see y'all there :tup:

Their will be a nice population of Texas Southern folks at the game.

You normally see an attendance spike when one of the two schools is playing for the first time. I think attendance will be GREAT.

It won't be. They blocked off SU's endzone in the 300 levels. 3 sections in the lower levels. SU's side is sold out. They do have a few of University of Houston's fans coming to the game to support SU. *shrugs* I know our team will be well supported.
It may be about 35k which is still decent.

The weather kept at least 5K fans away last year... and many flights were cancelled. Some people who tried to fly in on Friday didn't land til almost game time.. :smh: It will be interesting to see how the weather improves everything.

They expect some showers Saturday morning. But it was more than 5k who were iced in.
