2014 Spring Practice Storylines: Alcorn State A Favorite In The SWAC East?

Alcorn State is in a position they haven’t been in nearly a decade.


Legitimate contenders to win the SWAC East in 2014.

How good were the Braves last season? They finished 7-2 in conference play, including wins over SWAC championship game participants Jackson State and Southern on their way to a second place finish.

Why be so mean to the man for being honest? Alcorn hasn't won the East since the SCG's inception. That's like 14 years.

ATLBrave...:smh:. We do not handle the spotlight well. You need to understand, no team will take us lightly. We are no longer the Poor Man's Braves. Spiller and company had us hyped up too. Look what happened.

This is why I wanted a tough OOC FCS schedule. It keeps us focused and we maintain our killer instinct. Also, OOC FCS games show you who you really are because of accountability. Now that our kids have tasted winning, overconfidence is a pressing issue. Hopson should make every practice Hell.

Yeah bruh.. I drove up there for the 2012 game. I hadn't been on The Reservation since the late 90's.... 1998 to be exact. The Epic Alcorn/SU 1998 game at Alcorn!!! That weekend was Crazy!!! SU was soo Deep! Visitors side was Capacity and over 1/2 of the Home side was ALL SU.... We sat on the Home side on the 50. Deep Trash Talk.. But all Love!!

We probably should based on 18 returning starters and winning the Head to Head with Alcorn last year but I'm more focused on where we finish.
