Are you saying that Odumbs is a better coach than Comegy? REALLY??!! LOL!!

Most interim coaches are interim because somebody got fired. He picked up a team that could have quit and went home for the season. He did what he could with someone else players and coaches who probably thought they should have been interim. That is a tough role to come into. The guy won 4 games, and like I said he lost to both Bamas by 1 point. One on the road where the kicker missed the XP in overtime. The other the QB misses the WR in the end zone for 2 points to win. The only game that he coached that they looked totally terrible was the UAPB game where they came in and just kicked butt. But again a sign of a good coach in his team kept playing hard in the second half and not give up. But in your eyes he should have won 8 out of 9 games to be a good coach. Hell a bunch of big name coaches have not done that when they were interim coaches with other folks players and staff. Get Ready was right about some of yall JSU folks. I see what he is talking about when he said some fans are unrealistic and have unrealistic expectations. Instant gratification.

This is how TP see it:

Recruiting classes won't really impact the SCG this year.

The EAST will go down the way it always does. JSU will go to Bham or the Alabama team that beats us will go. We all know that AAMU can't beat JSU unless we have a losing record and with what we return, I don't see a losing record in our future. The key game for the EAST will be JSU-AlaState in September in Jackson. JSUs weakness next year will be defensive line. We have to find 4 good bodies to fill that front 4. Hopefully, we have enough offense to keep ASU off balance. Valley won't do as well this year as they did last year. It will take them 2-3 years to build their defense back up. Alcorn will upset some teams but it won't be JSU or AlaState. For the next few years, AAMU and Alcorn will be fighting for 3rd in the EAST.

The WEST: Who knows. Each and every team on that side is sorry. We know TxSo is the worst. UAPB loses to much to be a contender again and PV has probably the worst coach in the conference. Southern has the second worst coach in the conference but that division is so bad, they could still come out of the WEST as the SCG rep. GSU is such an unknown right now but Doug didn't go for a quick fix with transfers so I expect them to be piss po sorry again this year. I think that ALL teams on the EAST have a chance to be better than the teams on the WEST. By default, either SU or UAPB will win the WEST only becasue somebody has to.

The top teams in the SWAC next year will be

1. JSU-AlaState winner
2. Alatate -JSU loser
3. AAMU -Alcorn winner
4. Alcorn- AAMU loser
5. Valley
6. SU/UAPB winner
7. UAPB/SU loser
8. PV
9. GSU
10. TxSo.

Nah he was never on JSU radar we had a verbal from a big TE out of Wilkerson County...just saying jus because u get a kid out of a rival state means nothing big schools do it all the time..

Dude, if you got any recruit from us, we didn't try hard to get him. We are only crying over two recruits we lost and that d-lineman ain't one of em.

Also, if you think you will beat us again this year, you need to find your meds. You played a team with no identity last year. We changed offenses and the rest was history. You know good and well SU wasn't on JSU's level last year. Upsets happen. Next year, we running the ball down your throats.

It's not the first time in our history that we lost to a sorry SU team but I don't think we have ever lost to a sorry SU team two years in a row.

And the DT from Murrah? I never knew we were so high on him. Hell, not many good players come out of JPS anyway - especially Murrah.

Does JSU get any football players out of South Panola or Tupelo? Man there is some talent in those areas. Ole Miss and State have been getting some of the top kids out of those areas. Some of them go the JUCO route also. ICC and Northeast are scooping these kids up also. JSU, Valley and Alcorn should try to get those kids.

None of the kids from MS u have were recruited heavily by JSU...

And those kids up there either go Ole Miss or State, the rest go JUCO or never play after high school...Grades is usually the problem in that area!

Yeah we get up to USP every now and then. Kerry Hoskins was an All-conferene FS a couple of years ago. We signed an LB from there back in 2009. But he flunked out.

As for Tupelo: nope. They haven't been much of a power house lately. But even then I don't think we got much out of there. USP and Tupelo kids usually have academic issues and end up in JUCO.

Casey Therriualt, Renty Rollins, Joseph LeBeau - none of these guys were on our signing day list. Comegy knows how to find players right up until fall camp.
