What teams are not elgible to play in the swac tournment this year?

I thought they was letting everybody in this year no matter what their record is. Unless the NCAA got a couple of our teams, everybody get a gold star.
Might want to ask Texas Southern if they eligible. They had so many sports in trouble, I forget what sport the NCAA lowered the boom on. :lol:

LOL. I think the other 7 automatically get in because the APR thing has UAPB and Valley out for this year and TxSU is on probation from the NCAA for two years for their transgressions. So all 3 will be missing from the tourney this year. Sad thing is all 3 teams are actually capable of winning this year or making some noise in the tourney.

We are not eligible! We just enjoy kicking azz! We can still be the regular season champs if we can get past txso and win out! It's bitter sweet though!

Can you imagine the SWAC tourney champ having to go against Indiana or Duke in the first round? Talk about slaughtered lol. And that's IFF they can make it out of the playin game.

I know the $$$$ potential and exposure are great but have you seen Duke and IU/Michigan/OhSt or Syracuse play? :emlaugh:
Are they breaking opponents' arms and legs during the games? :emlaugh: If not, there's nothing to be concerned about.

I don't think Banks will allow SU to get slaughtered. Not saying we will win. But if we didn't get slaughtered by a better Duke team in 06. I doubt we would with a better SU team than our 06 team.

Nah Frat, actually this was the best year for a SWAC team to get into the tourney. A lot of parity in college basketball. All the coaches of the big boys have been talking about it and would not be shocked if a lot of teams get knocked out of the tourney this year by mid majors. Not saying a SWAC team can do it. But just looking at Southern this year. We ain't no pushover and we have played well out of conference with some games we should have won. This is not a slouch of a SWAC team. Too bad Valley, UAPB, and TxSU are not eligible. Because those teams are not bad either. TxSU has a backcourt that can play with almost anybody in the Nation.
