2012 NBA Finals: Game 3

Seems like the Thunder just had to breath on Wade when he went to the hole and he got a foul call. But when he fouled Westbrook twice on the same play, there was no refs around the ball.

31 for 35 from the line....

Yeah I saw that. But the Thunder just need to forget all that and just go at the Heat hard and put doubt in their minds. But I agree the refs have sucked. But they have sucked all playoffs. I don't know how many games is Crawford going to do. But the Heat have shown me that they are ready this year for the moment. Lebron is playing well and consistently but he has gotten timely help which is a good thing. Also last night was the first time I have questioned Scot Brooks. I thought he should have left Westbrook in the game when Durant got the 4th foul. Or at least get him back in the game right after Fisher hit that 3 and then made the free throw to go up by 10. I would have inserted Westbrook in when Miami called that timeout and then kept the foot on the pedal. Sefalosha has to play more as well. Let him have Wade as long as you can. Also he has to figure out when he can put Durant on Lebron. If I am him. I let Lebron just go the fugg off and contain everybody else. Make Lebron have to carry the entire team the whole game.

Who does OKC have besides Sefolosha or Durant to put on LeBron??? If Sefolosha is gonna guard Wade, Durant has to guard LeBron, unless they put Westbrook on him. Durant gotta guard SOMEBODY.....

You let Lebron just go crazy. You put Durant on him some of the time. Otherwise you try Ibaka some. You rotate the matchups but your mission is to stop the others and not Lebron. Even if you have to bring Nazr Mohammed off the bench for a spurt to absorb 6 fouls. You have to pick your poison at this point. You are not going to stop Lebron anyway. Durant can guard him as long as Lebron just shots jumpers. But right now Lebron is going to the basket and Durant don't have the build to take that punishment all game anyway. Even if there were no fouls called on KD. That would wear him out. Hell throw Daquan Cook out there to take some fouls. You have to use the Phil Jackson method of sacrificing some of your scrub players for periods of time. That way you keep your star player out of foul trouble and maybe at crunch time you put Durant on him down the stretch.

After Game 1 the Thunder were too big, too strong, too fast and too good. After Game 3, the Heat are too big, too strong, too fast and Nazr Mohammed needs to be called in to guard LeBron.

Westbrook can take DWade off the Dribble... Forget what folks say, The Thunder wins when Westbrook attacks the paint and takes/makes the pull up jumpers. Don't take out Seph when Harden comes in... he only leaves when Battier leaves. That's the guy Seph needs to move to guard when Harden enters the game.

Nobody said they were too strong or big. I still think they are more talented and more athletic than the Heat. Which they are. I don't think anyone doubts that. Lebron of course is the most athletic on the court period. Even in the game the Thunder won. They still need to make sure the others don't get going. You aint reading my post correctly. UAPB 97 asked who can you use on Lebron outside of Sefalosha and Durant since I said leave Thabo on Wade to bother him. Since NO ONE can stop him one on one in the NBA or probably the world. Especially when he goes to the basket. You just need to make sure the rest of the team don't beat you. Which the Thunder have enough pieces to do. You basically say Lebron going to have to score every damn point. We know there will be breakdowns and others going to score. But you limit everyone else's opportunity and turn LBJ loose and just run folks at him to absorb fouls instead of Durant or throwing Harden or Westbrook on him at times. You let your scrubs get abused. Let Collison get misused. This strategy aint nothing new from coaches. We have seen that all the time.

The problem with attempting to let LeBron beat you is that he's not Kobe, Durant or Carmelo Anthony who are volume scorers and shooters. LeBron can be an effective playmaker for others as well. Those other cats aren't as effective in that regard. That is one aspect of the game he doesn't get enough credit for. He is one of the best passers in the sport because of his willingness to make the right basketball play regardless of the situation.

OKC's biggest issue is that they aren't getting consistent performances from Harden, Ibaka, Perkins, Thabo and others. All those guys played well in the WCF. Not so much through three game in the Finals.

JR, a week ago you said it didn't matter who won the East, OKC would spring through them.

I still believe that Pop33. A week ago it also looked like Miami was a deer in head lights too. It don't matter to me. I don't dislike either team. Maybe if Lebron finally wins one, they will leave him alone for a minute. LOL. But I am rooting for OKC. Last year I rooted for Miami. Actually I hope both of these teams meet in the Finals more than just this year. It is fun to watch. I know Kendrick will say he wants Chicago to make it though. LOL.

The Hawks will win it all next year!!!

LOL @ Cee. Depending on who stays in Atlanta. They may struggle to make the playoffs.

Miami almost has a lock on the East for a minute unless Chicago can do something to help Rose when he comes back from injury.

Free Agency will be key not this year, but in the coming years. Unless there is some blockbuster trade. The West is probably more competitive right now overall.

Miami executed. OKC looked lost the final 5 mins of the game.

If you had shoot first, pass second Westbrook as your point guard, you would be lost too! It seems to be a lost art today on PG's running and executing the offense.

1. If Lebron is charging at the basket, just get out of the way because no matter what position you are in, you will get a foul called on you.

2. Oklahoma City just looked horrible at the end of the game with all of the turnovers and horrible shots. Almost like they let the pressure get to them.

3. Tell Kevin Durant to refer to #1. Also the coach should not have sat Westbrook for so long.
