I guess he thinks he will be able to compete for the job over time. Since Callaway has the JSU contingent over there coaching the football team. I am not surprised he signed. He had an offer from Alcorn as well. Bama State and SU were on his list but neither offered for whatever reason. I think he will be a good player for JSU. Decent athlete and probably can play another position if it don't work out at Qb.

Looks like he's getting the guys he eyed with the exception of a couple, one DL to N. Ala who had grades issues and Trotter the WR to Memphis whom he originally committed. All-in-all good showing.

Comegy said that he wanted to recruit at least 4 QB's this year.
He's keeping his word I see.
When you think about it, McDonald is the only recruited QB we got.
All the rest since Comegy got here has been JUCO's that are gone after 2 years.
We need QB's on the bench, learning the system with 4 years to play instead of just 2.

Only 1 O-Lineman, no DT's, only one DE. you can never have enough lineman.

Like Robber said, that was Carmody's defense at USM called the Nasty Bunch. Had a few cats from my HS down there when they first named USM's defense that. I think it started when Carmody was the DC and Bobby Collins was the head coach.
Don't remember if JSU had a name for those defenses. But they were beyond nasty. Just down right mean.

I wouldnt be surprised if Gilzeane did sign with bama state...he committed the same day as King did...we offered 19 scholarships and signed 16!!! I like this class it was everything that we wanted...Comegy said he wanted Qb's and he got them said he wanted Linebackers and he got them,he is a man of his word only exception would be his lack of recruitment in mississippi but we signed Chapman and Thigpen 2 locals...and the unknown kid from Richton but i hear he's a bull!
