I think you may be right. Just like the Shaq and Kobe deal. They played it up too much before the game and they both just happen to get the All-Star MVP. But hey, the NBA is trying to sell their product. Got do what you got to I guess. LOL.
 
The only dunk that was worthy was when Nate Robinson caught the ball off the backboard and dunked it backwards. Even the 3point contest was :vomit: The lineup sucked!

I agree with that. I actually like the 3 pt shootout more than anything else. But hell, for it to work you've got to put the best of the best in there. I think Eddie House could win that mug if he were in it.

And it just so happens that Robinson had a green New York Knicks uni with him huh? Or that an extra basketball was waiting in the back to raise up to 12 feet for Howard's dunk.

of course david stern has to approve anything that happens during all star weekend.

Howard had to get approval for the goal and Nate even had the arena turn green.
 
Rudy Fernandez' dunk with Gasol bouncing the ball off the back of the backboard to him was probably the nicest one of the night, although the judges crapped on it. Howard's 12 foot dunk was great, but he should have saved it for the final. His two dunks in the final round were pretty blah. A 7 footer who just made a 12 foot dunk taking off from (inside) the free throw line just isn't very impressive. Nate with the green jersey and ball was great though.

Phrat...I knew I was in trouble when all they had was 4 contestants.

I say they should have a dunk contest with the past winners or something to that affect. Anything to bring it to the days of the ones in the 80's, 91 and the 2000 dunk contest.

Anybody dunking in a 12 foot goal is impressive to me.

After 25 years of dunk contest, you would think that you people would applaud CREATIVITY.

Yep Gerald was his little brother. Nique went to Georgia and Gerald I think went to Tenn-Chattanooga. Remember Gerald was called the Jordan Stopper!:retard::lol::shame:

I think Gerald has a son in the league now. They were from North Carolina well until Nique got to UGA they were from NC. I think his brother went to HS in the ATL. I remember Jordan saying that if all the NC natives had went to UNC it would have been him, Nique, Worthy, Sleepy Floyd all there at the same time.

The Green was a little creative. The Superman Cape...been there.
The 12 foot goal...he dunked it lightly. Now had he did some bounce passes or lobs or something...

I saw the dunks...but, I didn't see the broadcast, so I don't know the sequence of events. Was Nate "given" this one, again? Cuz, we all know he didn't earn the first one.
