2009 Mississippi Highschool Football----Breakdown 1a to 6a

I remember Derrick. Sorry to hear that he passed away. I got to look Jason up next time I pass through the ATL. I'm pretty sure he's enjoying it out there.

Do you remember or attend high school with big Malcolm Taylor?

That mad man played football with my big brothers, Big Ervin and Little Ernie, when Crystal Springs was in the South little Dixie conference.
I remember watching them practice after school and that dude would alway be going full blast from start to finish.
They would be doing wind sprint's and that big 6'4", 250lb dude would be outrunning the running backs.
Guess that's why he also landed here:

I see him out jogging every once and a while when I go to C.S.

But yeah the footage is at da crib so just fall thru bruh... I can't believe I haven't shown it to you already. I showed it to Derell before. He was running around on there getting dunked on I think. :lmao:

Yeah, Imma have to check that out sometime soon.

South Panola lost a game last year???

Man where you been. Really SP coach lost that game. He ran Parker in the ground and didn't change up his runs. He just kept going to the right side in the 4th QTR. They didn't blitz the QB becuase they were scared of the deep ball. Thing is he still ate them up so he may as well played SP ball. And finally on the last three plays of the game he left the game in the hands of Dwight QB.....

Yeah, I remember hearing stories about him. When he moved back to C.S., they should have made him the HC. He use to swing by practice some days and get us so fired up we thought we could run through brick walls. That dude has some energy and passion that is unheard of today.

My high school moved up to 4A a few years ago. Those Warriors of Pontotoc will be competitive this year.

The schools highlighted in Bold letters will be a test for the Warriors. Shannon has been good for years.

Pontotoc Warrior 2009 Football Schedule

Fri 08/28/09 @ South Pontotoc High School
Fri 09/04/09 Aberdeen High School
Fri 09/11/09 Ripley High School
Fri 09/18/09 @ Houston High School
Fri 09/25/09 Amory High School
Fri 10/02/09 @ New Albany High School
Fri 10/09/09 Tishomingo County High School

Fri 10/16/09 @ Shannon High School
Fri 10/23/09 @ Itawamba AHS

Also Ripley and Aberdeen are real good teams this year. Ripley and Aberdeen are predicted to go far in the playoffs this year. So Pontotoc's schedule is is a dogfight this year. As a matter of face Aberdeen played IAHS (Itawamba) and lost by one point during preseason play and keep in mind that Ripley and Aberdeen are 3A schools:scared:. They could easily go 3 and 7 this year:lecture:.

Actually the Kicker lost it for South Panola... I remember Parker running the Ball almost ervey down, but some one said he didnt play the whole game. That Boy mom or Dad should have said something about how they was running the Dirt out of him, The boy couldnt walk... But anyway GO CATS 2008 STATE CHAMPIONS STARTING THE 6A campaign with a Bang..

Did you watch the game? I saw it with my own eyes. I've also seen SP play several times in 06,07 and 08. And they did not play SP football in the title game. No blitzes nothing. And the QB lost it for them in the end.

Melrose is Memphis's best team or they have been. Whitehaven is rated higher this year. That will be a good test..

I will be in the place next Friday night. I was wondering what Melrose was like.

Shat.:lmao:
That was no test for Madison Central.
They beat the shat out of Melrose 43-28 and those 28 came when the dog's were called off.
It was 30-0 when Melrose finally scored with the first score for M.C. comming in the first minute of the game.
Madison Central started taking their starters out of the game in the 3rd Qtr.

My bad.
They did score 10 more before Melrose scored.
That was not even a good practice for MC.

If you look at the scores from Friday night, it was a bad night if you were an out of state team playing a Mississippi team.
I don't think Mississippi lost any STATE LINE contest.

Players Melrose was hyped as being good this year. Now I had already told these guys they would get beat senseless but I thought they would put up a fight. LOL

Olive Branch has only lost 1 game to a Memphis team in the last 4 or 5 years and that was MUS which is a private school with plenty of money and they recruit. Other than that SP and OB been blowing them out of the water.

Tennessee is a large state but there aren't a lot of good teams. Mostly 2A teams in this state. Memphis, Nashville and Chattanooga are the only big cities. Everything else is small time. That's why they suffer so at UT.

No real recruiting base. They can no longer raid Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas.

These Tennessee teams should be sick of getting thier arse kicked.
It continues next week with South Panola digging off in another Tennessee team arse.
BIG SHOCKER.
MERIDIAN is back and reloaded after clocking WAYNE COUNTY Friday night

SP will have their hands full. MUS is for real. OB had one of their best teams last year and MUS beat. MUS and Chistian Brothers are both private schools and they recruit all the local HS's. They both have deep pockets and lots of skilled coaches. I might go to the SP game.
