it's really close in the bottom half, but that's just how i'd break the ties....

p.s. Jared....grambling did give su the business at the Bayou Classic BOTB.
HEY and NECK were the only songs that saved SU from an all out blowout.

Since I didn't see every band last year ... and some I hadn't seen in some years, I really can't make a fair prediction.

I hope all the SWAC bands come with their A-game performance this season.

All I can say is that I'm sure Jackson State and Southern will bring the heat, as they always do.

Good luck to each band program, and I look forward to seeing all the bands. :tup:

That is too far from true, get a close up tape and listen to how much garbage was coming from GHSU that night...They had a few tunes that was nice...But they had to MUCH trash in general.... And if you put that over what SU was doing, all I can say is I feel sorry for you as a musicain..

No one's opinion is above the next person, whether you're a musician, a band director with degrees in music education, a band head or just a SWAC lover ----- YOUR thoughts/predictions of the bands in the SWAC for this upcoming season are still just an opinion. So, don't waste your time defending your thoughts/feelings or trying to get someone to see what you see. No one cares... I know I don't! :lol:

Let's just let the bands speak for themselves this fall through their horns and what they showcase on the field/stands. :tup:

So, I just want to remind some folks... I ain't 'gon call no names TODAY... but they know who they are.... :lol: .... that predictions are based upon opinions.

Jared you know I know that Gram will spit out some garbage at any given point. lol. I don't doubt that. But overall I think they got yall a lil at the BOTB. Now that night I said that yall survived by pullin' out those ole faithfuls....NECK and HAY...but they hung in there with yall this year. I still can't give GSU an edge over southern though....that's why my predictions are like they are.


LEGAND 35. I'm gonna hold you to that. Don't play. You know JSU will be there to issue that annual BLOWOUT. lol. The trip to Grambling is always the most fun bandwise....because it's such a huge massacre everytime. lol.

Get everybody to remember more the 6 tunes then holla....

"RAIN ON ME" was the PITTS.....

The only shat you all sounded good was on tunes that was structured like SU.

I know noone from GSU is trying to talk about SU trumpets.... Ya'll niggs can't get threw most tunes my CB Emanuel Scales write for yall cause yall don't have the capability...... Please don't get me started...

Although I am from N.O.,Louisiana, I really sat down and anylised this one. From my experiences, tapes, all of their strengths, weaknesses, pros and cons this truly is the line-up and has been for several years.

THANK YOU!!! Finally more honest people. Your line-up is reality. Also, SWAC or no SWAC 1-4 are the best bands period!!! along with FAMU(SEAC) and Norfolk State (NEAC).
Although the "U" just ain't what they used to be, they are still on top. UAPB came a long way and they are very much deserving of being considered one of the best.
As a Native of Louisiana, GSU has disappointed me over the last few years!!! No disrespect to GSU. They are still world famed, just not what they used to be.

I said trumpets dummy, The way E. Scales arrange T-bones part are simple arse he!! not down talking his arrangement but they are structure almost like SU's T-bone parts...It ain't hard....

I brought my boi Ken with me this year....and in the car on the way I was telling him how much of a massacre it was about to be. "SOUTHERN ALWAYS BLOWS THE LIVING SH*T OUT OF GRAMBLING AT THE BOTB"...were my exact words. lol. It just didn't happen this year.
