2002 Circle City Classic

I guess we don't get to go to Crews next year. Now I gotta plan a trip to Indy. Yall know some of us Jags drive to everygame. Now a long drive is a lot longer. See you in Indy.

Lewis,

The Southern - TN State Game, has been scheduled for September 21, 2002 in Nashville.

I will have the TN B-B-Q ready.

H:

Cincy to Nashville is 4 hours for me, so another road trip in 2002 to see the Jags.

Hook a brother up with the BBQ; can I come, too?? :)

Regards.

Tiger Fan

The game was confirmed during the spring. It is scheduled to be a 2 or 3 year deal. I have a copy of the 2002 Schedule. But, you know things can change.

Dr. Mac, kellis & Lewis, we will be serving Jaguar - TN Style :big grin:. I'll contact Roar Man, Dreamer, TSU Tiger Fan and others to make sure you enjoy yourselves.

HBCU we are playing

JMC - ? - Sept 7 "Maybe we can convince someone from the MEAC to play"

SHC - JSU- Sept 14
Atlanta - FAMU - Sept 21
Sept. 28 Southern.

I hope the Southern, game will be HC. The remainder of the schedule is OVC.

That's a nice Sept. schedule... What about Hampton or MBC for the JMC?

*wondering can I stomach seeing TSU 3 wks straight??? *

What about Hampton or MBC for the JMC?

MBC or Hampton, would be great. But, we are looking for someone that will bring a crowd. The past few years neither A&M or ASU brought a crowd. I would guess on the average they brought less than 2K. A&M is 2.5 hr. drive from Nashville, one would think, they would have 4-6 buses and 100's of cars. I remember the year TSU played at A&M, one side of the stadium were TSU'ers. ASU, a few folks followed Cole. But, that's about it.

I do not know about Hamp & Mo Brown, following.

I am going to go out on the limb and say it's going to be Kentucky State {They were scheduled before & Big John coached at KSU}. It could be Virginia State - they were mentioned earlier this year for JMC & CCC- but was replace with Howard at the CCC. It could be Alcorn or TX Southern.

I will send a e-mail and ask the AD.

First ofall you are crazy if you think AAMU only brought 2000 people. Second, a lot of AAMU people didnt come because it was raining cats and dogs in Huntsville. I guess they figured since Nashville is only 1.5 hrs away that itwould would be raining here, but it held off here. Do you know if AAMU and TSU will play at all next year?

How in the hell are you gonna even lie like that on here????

AAMU brought more than dayum 2000 folks! Hell, the bands alone had more than 4-6 buses.

We had just as many if not MORE fans at that dayum game! 2000 people....negro pleeze!

If you're gonna LIE on here...AT LEAST make it believable!!! :p

The funny thing is that there were 20 something thousand at the game....IN NASHVILLE. Why don't you look to SELF for most of the blame????

Typical...

H, thanks for being the host for the SU-TnSU weekend. It looks like I will be having a ball in Nashville.

MH, Ntelekt, DAHILL

You are right about these - lazy szz, wann be, fair weather, semi-loyal negros, who call themself TSU Fans. They are pitiful when it comes to attending home games. It's a damn shame, these negros do not support the program more. But, whenyou mention Atlanta or Memphis, everyone and they mama leave town for the games.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THEIR BEHAVIOR[/B]

MH, you are correct there was more than 2K at the beginning of the game. I notice they started leaving at half time. :confuse: Tell yo boy Cole, Sept 1 is open and he want the "revenge " game we will consider.

Seriously, both schools average between 4-5K.

DAHILL, I did not see A&M on schedule. I read somewhere, all D1 programs would start playing a 12 game schedule. If that's true, I hope we schedule A&M. A&M, is always a good game - home or away.

Kellis,

We are looking foreward to hosting the Jags. You know, anyone from Southern is always welcome in Nashville.

I hear you. Think about when AAMU came in 98 when the game was on campus...our side was JAM PACKED! True, I expected MORE of us to be there at the JMC, but like Dahill said....the rain in Huntsville messed a lot of people up. They thought it was the same conditions in Nashville...wrong.

I STILL say we had no less than 9000 fans there...and that's being generous. :D

But yes...the AAMU/TnSU matchup is always a good one.:)

Ntelekt

I moved to Nashville, in 84. I have learned not to depend on the fair weather fans. It's homecoming week, a game against Valley Saturday {TSU 40+, Valley 10 or less}. I will bet a majority of those attending the game, will be from out of town.

When it comes to supporting TSU, I do not count Nashvillians. There are some die hard fans here. You would think, a city / county with a population of 25-35 % AA. 20-25K, would attend TSU home games. Tickets for home games are $12, homecoming 15-20, some of the people here are saying that to much. Some of these people are looking for free admission.

98, come to think about it that side was packed 9K is a good estimate.

I would like for A&M - TSU to be a home on home game.

DaHill, I don't know where you heard that from, because from my understanding, Bama State plays NCA&T next year in Indy

Well you were misinformed. I was at the Circle City Classic this year and they announced it every 5 minutes during the game plus it was in Sunday's Huntsville Times.

THAT'S GONNA BE A GOOD GAME.....
INDY IS ONLY 4-5 HOURS FROM HERE.....I THINK THAT I'LL DEFINITELY BE ATTENDING THAT ONE......
