SWAC TV

ESPN (TV) & HBCU GO are hands down the best ones as they invest in the satellite trucks, production, talent, camera, audios, etc. but thats broadcast TV

ESPN+ (exclusive games on there) is a slimmer version of the above with minimum specs most time but its cut and dry

SWAC-TV is basically ESPN+ but way less restrictions and more potential and FREE - no complaints here lol

For the TDC yesterday, they did have the professional cameras (outside company). You could tell the difference

Think we'll eventually get to having those type of cameras at every game

The production crew that worked with me for the Turkey Day Classic was Broadway Communications. They are responsible for the state championship games here in Alabama. I did 3 games with them this season ( Lane-AAMU, Prairie View-AAMU, and Turkey Day Classic). Really good company to work with. They also did a number of Bethune Cookman games this season too.

I went back and looked at the SWACTV schedule for basketball season.

We got 0 OOC games (at home) shown on SWACTV

We only got 5 games on SWACTV for the men and 6 for the women in any capacity (home or away)

If it's gonna be like the OOC slate with no SWACTV and the school not being able to stream their own games, that's a MAJOR problem considering that all our home games were streamed last year.

But the schools can stream their own games that arenot on SWAC TV or contracted to ESPN+/HBCU Go. Schools did it in the fall with soccer and volleyball.

Thats your schools fault. Every single home game we have… conference or out of conference is scheduled on SWAC TV.

Well they had our radio announcers do the broadcast for the ASU 2 home game (the AAMU game wasn't shown at all)

Can't complain too much as long as they're being shown. Guess they'll have outside announcers on the originally scheduled games for SWACTV at home

I can't wait to see the first year numbers when basketball season is done

No FCS conference can be compared to us in football

When the commissioner said we are a top 10 D1 conference comparable to the bottom tier FBS football conferences, here's a conference to compare it to...

And the $1.5 million we got last year was without SWACTV

We're competeting with the MAC, Sun Belt and CUSA not the FCS as far as media is concerned

I guess Valley got their minimum requirements together as I'm watching the PVAMU-MVSU women's game on SWAC TV now.

I think the issues might have been having someone who would actually call the games (they got the radio team to call the games). Valley has always had the best graphics on streams done on VSN

Same goes with the SWACTV games at home

I was hoping we got to at 50 million minutes watched so I'm glad we surpassed that milestone

Gonna be interesting to see what our next payout will be with this new data

There's a good chance that viewership will surpass 60 Million Minutes watched and probably reach 64 or 65 Million.
We still have the following events coming up:

- 2026 SWAC Softball Tourney
- 2026 SWAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships
- Early rounds of the 2026 SWAC Baseball Tournament
