Well, for those people who think that "these victories by BCU are not worth celebrating because the majority of the players are non-Black Americans", well if this baseball team keeps this up, yall are not going to have to worry about that, because this coach and this team will be somewhere else.

I was listening to the Paul Finebaum Show, a couple of days ago, and there are callers who think that there should be some changes in the LSU baseball program. Hey, I'm just saying. 🤣
 
everyone talking about being ranked, but they lost the opener to Valley last week, which went under the radar and kills all that talk lol

It's almost as if Valley has improved this season sweeping Alcorn 4-0, AAMU 3-0 and getting 2 D1 OOC wins so a split against BCU wasn't shocking

Roger Cador knows a thing or two about “impact.” The winningest head coach in the history of Southern University made a lasting impression on the field, compiling a 913-597-1 record over 33 seasons with the Jaguars. His 1987 club became the first HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) team to win an NCAA Division I tournament game in 1987, a 2-1 triumph over Cal State Fullerton.

Cador is a member of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, the Southwestern Athletic Conference Hall of Fame, the Southern University Hall of Fame and the College Baseball Hall of Fame. Baton Rouge mayor Sharon Weston Broome declared Friday, February 3, 2023 as Coach Roger Cador Day in Baton Rouge.

Jackson State upsets top-ranked Louisiana-Lafayette 1-0​

Earlier this month, the Jackson State baseball team was standing on the side of a highway, watching its bus and all its belongings on board burn up.

Ever since that May 5 bus fire, the Tigers have risen from the ashes.

They upset top-seeded and No. 1-ranked Louisiana-Lafayette 1-0 in the Lafayette Regional Friday, marking this as the program's first ever win in an NCAA regional.

And it comes a few weeks after it pulled another upset, that time, in the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament. JSU defeated conference favorite Alabama State 9-8 for its second straight tournament title, another feat that seemed unlikely considering its slump in the regular season.

JSU (32-23, 9-15 SWAC) didn't win a single conference series in the second half of the season, but it managed to go 4-0 in the tournament.

Now, throw in Friday's big win, and the Tigers have made quite the turnaround.
