You expect them to stand behind a dude who has four accusers? I mean, they're the party that has been pressuring the Trump administration and conservatives in office to crack down on this type of behavior. They'd be hypocrites if they flip the script.

I atleast expect them to wait until some semblance of an investigation takes place. A knee-jerk reaction to known conspiracy theorists/maga operatives is just performative outrage. If its that big of a deal why aren't they demanding he resign from congress?

Swalwell's current staff have dropped like flies as soon as the news broke. That's telling. This has probably been known inside his camp, and someone close to him staged the hit job, wanting to change camps. Yes, it's political. And that implies the allegations are true.

Now that a little more information has dropped, it's clear the party made the right call. To treat the issue with indifference would have opened up accusations of being no different than the Epstein caucus.
