2026 SWAC Football Schedules

Wait huh? Mobile, Lorman?
Mobile is over 5 hours away… people dont realize yes its in ALabama but we are at the very top of Alabama (10 minutes from Tennessee” and Mobile at the very bottom of Alabama.. close to Mississippi and Louisiana)… Lorman I will have to check… I want to say we fly into the nearest airport and bus to Lorman… but I may be mistaken.

You would be better off flying or driving straight from Huntsville to Mobile

What you are proposing would be like me flying from an airport here in the Delta (Greenville or Tunica) to New Orleans then drive 2 hours to Mobile

JACKSON, Miss. | The Jackson State University Division of Athletics announced kick times for the 2026 football season with five games inside Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Jackson State will open its home slate against Edward Waters on Sept. 5 in the Hope Labor Day Classic, followed by a bye week. They return to action on Sept. 19 in the W.C. Gorden Classic against Tuskegee and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opener on Sept. 26 against Southern. All three games in September will kick off at 6 p.m. in Jackson.

The Tigers will also play a pair of games later in the season inside Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium including Florida A&M (Oct. 17) and Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 7). Both games will have a 2 p.m. kick time.

I am glad that they are going to have night games. Jackson was missing out on revenue because the early games did not require overnight stay. This is a great move that allows some reprieve from the Mississippi Heat! Now if they could just lower the family ticket package prices and fill the entire stadium with fans!!!! TheeILove!
