The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff has announced its 2026 football schedule, a 12-game slate highlighted by a pair of neutral-site showcases, four home contests, and a return to several regional classics.

The Golden Lions kick off the season on August 29 in Little Rock with a newly revealed matchup against Morehouse College at War Memorial Stadium. The game marks an early spotlight opportunity for UAPB before a daunting early-season road test at Missouri on September 3, the program’s first trip to an SEC venue since facing Arkansas in 2021.

UAPB remains on a neutral stage the following week, opening Southwestern Athletic Conference play on September 12 against Alcorn State at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis. The Golden Lions then make their 2026 home debut on September 19, hosting Central State at Simmons Bank Field in Pine Bluff. A bye week on September 26 provides a brief reset before the grind of conference competition.

Golden Lions have multiple byes, tough SWAC slate

Conference play resumes October 3 when UAPB visits Southern in Baton Rouge ahead of its second open date of the season on October 10. The Golden Lions return home October 17 to host Alabama State, followed by back‑to‑back road and home games against Florida A&M (October 24) and Bethune‑Cookman (October 31).

The November stretch looms large within the SWAC West Division race. UAPB travels to Grambling State on November 7, hosts Prairie View A&M for its home finale on November 14, and closes the regular season on November 21 against Texas Southern in Houston.

UAPB finished the 2025 season 4‑8 overall and 2‑6 in SWAC play under head coach Alonzo Hampton, now entering his fourth year at the helm with a 9‑26 overall record.
