What Do You Want to See From HBCU Sports in 2026?

As we head toward the end of the year and begin planning for 2026, we want to take a moment to hear directly from you.

This short survey is simply about understanding:
  • What you want to see more of
  • What you care about most when it comes to our coverage
  • What’s working and what we can improve going into the new year
Your input helps us make smarter decisions about the content we prioritize, how we present it, and the kinds of partnerships we pursue moving forward.

The survey takes about 2–3 minutes to complete.
No long answers required. Just straightforward feedback.

While HBCU Sports has always been driven by the community it serves, this survey gives us a clearer picture of what our audience actually wants heading into 2026. The more responses we receive, the more accurately we can shape our plans for the year ahead.

If you regularly read, watch, or engage with HBCU Sports, this is one of the easiest ways to influence what comes next.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. And thank you for believing that HBCU Sports deserves to exist.

I appreciate your time, your support, and your willingness to share your perspective as we prepare for the new year.

If you would do a team by team preseason breakdown of all SWAC teams (football) with coaches comments and player names. We don't often get a detailed preview of the season with analysis. I enjoy your podcast and I'm confident you can produce a quality preview.

Welcome the D2s. You cant call this HBCU sports but the D2s dont even have a forum.
I actually agree with this. I know the popularity of FB pretty much killed Onnidan (as well as regular posters from the old SWACPAGE/TSPN and the Meac Fans page) but to continue build off the HBCU brand, I think an added platform for posters of D2 schools to interact would be cool.

There were actually some notable posters (from CIAA and SIAC schools) that I recognized for a minute after they registered and even made a request, but they sort of faded away when there were either no forums or lack of discussion talk for their conferences, schools and division.

Speaking of MEAC, maybe do more interactive talk with moderators from the MEAC Fan Zone, particularly when SWAC and MEAC schools are playing each other in notable events (such as the Celebration Bowl or appearing the the NCAA Basketball Tournament for Men and Women).

I would like to see a baseball and softball writer or atleast some coverage on the splash page.

I would not mind seeing this done for MEAC, CIAA, and SIAC schools as well.

You need a text feature as I didn't know about the podcast fundraiser - if I choose to not go to Facebook or see my email that day a text feature eliminates that excuse

honestly - even though it's an hbcu based page what's the percentage and feedback of non- swac interest when compared to the SWAC?

You should consider subscribing to the HBCU Sports Newsletter. An email was sent to those who are subscribed and another was sent when the Pod-a-Thon actually went live.

Can postings be listed in order of most recent first. I hate having to navigate through old posts to get to the most recent one.

There is a link at the top of the page under the "Forums" tab that reads "New Post." If you click on it it will show you the newest post first.

Ken, thanks for the prompt response. However, when you click on “What Do You Want to See From HBCU Sports in 2026?” Your post is the last one. Reverse the order. This post should be first in line as the most recent.

I didn't make the software for this forum, but I don't agree that the last post should be first. Otherwise, one would lose context of the entire thread.

One last comment, context of the thread largely depends on content. Even as is, l still have to scroll to see the original post. I’d rather scroll down.

Stay Black, Brother, and keep fighting the good fight.

I know it's small but can we get the women back in here? Founder and C-Dog ran the women off. lol just messing with you guys. I think that you're doing a good job with the coverage of our sports and things going on on our campuses. I guess something that can be added is revenue sharing amount the conferences like the other FCS and FBS schools. Maybe it has been addressed and I'm behind.

THANK YOU!!! All the writers do is read tweets on X then run and write a half ass article… and say “sources”… or they will make some click bait title. It’s really making the whole website look bad now.
Especially that @Fiyah character. That profile is ran by AI now with his AI generated panther posting behind posting them panther claws on my po tigers back.. smh that’s, “conflict of interest reporting” … have you no shame ? 😡
