I feel like many ( certainly not all) of these men "end up here" in HBCU'S until they can find something " better" in their minds.

but most end worse and at a place where no one even knows who they are and they get lost in the shuffle forever

I know one who transferred spent more time at the HBCU he left than the school he left to enroll at

So, it does make sense to me if you have graduated and have one year. Unless, you are a pro-prospect, go pick you a good grad school and ride the bench if they are willing to pay for it. Good grad schools can be expensive.
 
But otherwise, if you only got one year, thinking you gone roll up to a P5 and take a spot is crazy work! You at least need two years to learn the system and work your way up.
