It’s basically a second chance for guys who were promised something before the new rules hit — and now coaches are being “encouraged” to move on quietly. They can say “we didn’t cut him,” but the truth is, a lot of DSAs will enter the portal because they’re no longer in the coach’s future plans.This ONLY applies for summer 2025. After that, it’s back to regular rules.

Translation: If you’re a DSA, you’re protected. If you’re a coach, you’re making tough calls. And if you’re a player watching all this go down — know your rights, know the game, and have a plan.

Confirmed with a coach that this is strictly for guys that were already released from rosters. So if you're a player that's listed.. it doesn't apply.
