MONTGOMERY, Ala. | A single off the bat of junior Wilbert Espinal in the bottom of the ningth gave the Alabama State University baseball a 6-5 comeback in over the University of South Alabama on Tuesday at the Wheeler-Watksin Baseball Complex.

The Alabama State University bas earned a win in walk-off fashion, rallying to score one in the bottom of the ninth after South Alabama tied it up in the top half, sealing the victory on a to defeat the Jaguars 6-5 Tuesday.

Kyler McIntosh (3-0) picked up the win for Alabama State (19-18). The right-hander went one shutout inning while giving up one hit. Junior Caleb Sanders also made an impact on the mound for the Hornets, throwing 6.1 innings, giving up two runs on 10 hits, with no walks and eight strikeouts.

Alcorn, your coach deserves to be fired. He is recruiting players that don't know the game, maybe he doesn't either and therein lies the problem. Your third baseman, catcher and pitcher didn't show an ounce of baseball I.Q. on the play. Their mistakes on the play should not be happening at the college level, not even the JV level in high school.

This is like 3 years ago. I'm not even sure if the current staff was there.

But, I understand your point. Regardless of who was coaching, this made HBCU baseball (as a whole) look bad.

We missed you. There were shirts in the seating with the number 42 on it to commemorate Jackie Robinson. Found out you and the associate AD are from the same area.
