It's 2023 though so these dates a little confusing or maybe I'm confused. The 2022 game was played at in mobile and this one (that's 2)

so did we move our home game in 2023 to Mobile at the last minute? I remember seeing the 2 year contract for 22 and 24 vs JSU..then news of us playing Tuskegee in Mobile for the GCC 2023 but it got swapped for the jsu game so they could get out of the 2 year GCC contract and go back to home in home for 2024.

Yes, Alabama A&M did move the home game with Jackson State in 2023 to Mobile. It was the only way to get Tuskegee to play in Huntsville as AAMU's homecoming opponent. That came from Dr. Paul Bryant.

@NastyD - The 2023 game between JSU & AAMU was a home game for Alabama A&M. The 2022 and 2024 games in Mobile are home contests for Jackson State.

Booooooooo!!

Im not reading all of this BUT I have always told you all that JSU has to have a bad team for AAMU to beat us. Like really bad...
If we lose to AAMU, that means we will likely have a losing season.

As for Maynor, yall know he was fired from Hampton and you still hired him.

He brought in some players that were big time performers. Dell, who is now in the pros, and the two all SWAC receivers that went to Bowling Green and the all SWAC running back now at Southern were his recruits.

The problem is he fell into a cycle of poor qbs. While Glass was here, Coach recruited two three star qbs in the same year to replace Glass. The white qb decided to go back to Missouri and play in home state. I think that school could offer some expense money. The black qb from Georgia was the real deal based upon his film, but he had head or personality problems and left. Then coach recruited the good qb from Miami that decided to quit just before fall practice and coach did not have time to recruit another one. So he had to play with rhe current qbs. Then the qb he brought in this year was injured and coach had to go again with the current qbs. Now we are in a cycle of less than average qbs and it will take some time to cycle out of it unless he just find a qb that can step in and win right away ang give the 3 star qb from California time to develop.
Glass wasnt good either.
Glass never beat a team with a winning record (except two UAPB teams barely over 500) and was something like 0-9 vs the top teams in the conference at the time (Alcorn, GSU, SU).

I think that will happen. Our schedule this year with all the away games was ridiculous. Personally, I’d like to see 5-6 home games on the schedule next season. Keep that money at home.

I have no idea why we did this in the first place BUT I dont see how we can get out of the contract without penalty and it's a good payday. I wish we didnt have to go back. AAMU should be moving their games, not us. The 2022 and 2024 games should have been in Jackson.

The BOOSIE Concert was lit tho!

Most people would disagree with that. Glass was not the problem when it came to losing games...the defense was. Glass generally put lots of points on the board but the defense could never hold the leads. Glass was usually the most productive player on the field in any given game. His stats testify to his ability as a player.

They did it for $450,000
If A&M got the same amount, it was worth moving the home game there. As far as JSU's home game, I would prefer to go to Mobile.

I thought I saw you. I was going to speak but I was already mad so I know you would have rubbed it in more. 🤣

No one cares what AAMU ppl prefer as it relates to a JSU home game. Yall dont prefer your own home games... LOL We can draw at least 25K at home for AAMU. Yall cant draw but 500. Big difference. It makes more sense for you all to move your home game to Mobile every year. Take the money.

just keep the jsu series home and home. Huntsville and Jackson..instead of trying to "force" a classic every year between the two schools in attempts to make $450k that could be made by other means..We don't need a 3rd year in Mobile for this game..I really hope the JSU AD makes the change to send this game back to Jackson...both teams moved 1 of their home games now we are even..no need for a 3rd year.

CEE,

TP is different in person. Only a thug on this site. Believe it not, sort of cool, calm and intelligent. Now NastyD, I have to check on him every now and then. He knows what I am talking about :D :D :D :D

As I understand it, they signed a contract for two games. They can't make a change without breaching the contract.

JSU signed the contract for a reason... it makes
more money there than from a game at home. Otherwise, you are saying your AD is not a man if he moves a more profitable game to a place where it is less profitable.

The game is more fun in Mobile.. People like Mobile better than Jackson.
