PV interested in Ashley Robinson

Might be because I remember some of the posting during his first exit that he was given a great deal of credit for things like their new stadium. They said it was already in the works before he came and other such musing...they seemed happy at that time to see him leave
We are under the a&m system brah. For their "token" HBCU campus, it requires 2 years of study, another 3-4 years of planning, and then another year+ of debates regarding funding via system BOR/cred staff. Fall 2014 last game started the build year into summer 2016. Do the math. Math never lies.

Yes sir, Dr LeGrande is our president since 06/01/2023. She is the 9th prez of PVAMU, if memory serves correct.
Until Dr. LeGrande had an investiture ceremony, I wouldn't consider it permanent. I remember reading Clayton State University hired a new "permanent" president that left before a year and the investiture ceremony.

Apparently, in the Board of Regents minds she was already permanent back when they appointed her last year...they wouldn't let Dr. Ruth make any more major decisions regarding the university...that was reserved for the new President to make.

It will be interesting to see what happens, but I did not know that the assistant athletic director at JSU is also the strength coach, and if I am not mistaken Ashley is also a VP of the unversity outside of his duties as athletic director. Maybe his possbile move to PV is so that he only have to deal with athletics.

Dude just about everybody in athletics (other than actual coaches) has either assistsnt athletic director or associate athletic director attached to their title smh. Stop believing everything you hear on YouTube.

Just because it might be true for some schools does not mean it is true for all schools. Simply going to different schools official athletic websites proves having two different positions is far from the norm in FCS and/or FBS. From what I have seen from official schools website it depends on the athletic budgets of particular schools and/or how they organize their positions. Just to give two examples, a small HBCU in North Carolina named Elizabeth City State University Athletic Director only has one position and the same it true with North Carolina Central. Have you ever thought that maybe Ashley is looking to have one position only and that is why he is interested in moving back to PV in order to have a single focus.

Titles are given to justify the bump in money in Higher Ed. That’s the only way to be monetarily competitive in the South.
I have seen that happen with the head football coach at Elizabeth City State University, as a way to pull money from different pots of money from the school budget order to increase the amount of money that coach made, but I also seen it backfire as well with coaches not wanting to have to do two jobs.

I leave the guessing up to the clueless. I know what's going on and it has nothing to do with anything you're typing 😆

At JSU, VP only means he is on the President's cabinet.. LOL He is Vice President of Athletics... nothing more, nothing less. He has no other duties.

He never had two jobs. He’s solely head AD. VP is just an added measure for money as others have stated. You know you can just ask us what’s going on at our school rather than assuming, right?
