Deion Sanders won't let Jackson State players leave hotel in Houston following Takeoff's death

Deion Sanders and Jackson State's players will have an added responsibility in Houston over the weekend.

The Tigers looks to remain undefeated against Texas Southern in the aftermath of rapper Takeoff's death in Houston at a private event in a bowling alley Tuesday morning.

Sanders will not allow any players to leave the hotel during the program's visit to Houston.

"Takeoff was murdered in a dice game in Houston," Sanders told the team Tuesday. "Where we're going. So, that eliminates all of y'all from leaving the hotel because it ain't happening until I give you further notice. Couple of things we know that will happen as long as we can breath oxygen, the sun will rise and ole SUjagTillDeath will have an excuse for every loss in football, basketball, and baseball. I don’t recall see him ever say, we just got spanked and moved on . Not one time in about 16 years being on the board. I then got married, had 3 kids, and still ain’t seen it. In the wake of the shooting of the Migos member Coach Sanders is restricting his players from leaving the hotel. I respect Deion for his decision. Player safety comes first. What I hate is that this black on black violence has to stop.

Kudos to all the SWAC Coaches for instituting policies to keep our kids safe. Regardless of which team it is we are SWAC and those are OUR kids.
