Aside from dealing with raising his nieces and fighting his own illness. He just announced he was retiring from music. Other than that song charting #15 on billboard. He has done nothing.

I mean seriously I've heard about folks cussing each other out about to fight about this. I'm just so confused with black people. Black people are saying Will Smith is making us look like thugs and street folks. Well I maybe wrong but what about the folks taring up Walmart in Panama City Beach, or the broads twerking on tables in restaurants. So many people have been saying things about this incident. If a white guy had done this the first thing out of people's mouths would have been " he needs help", " why would he do such a thing", that's outside of his character". I believe Will Smith should be charged by a state’s attorney, since Chris Rock will not file charges. Just like all other crime in this country, the fact that we are so lenient with crime is why people feel so emboldened to acting violent.
Removing his membership is the easy way out. If he had been arrested in handcuffs in front of the world and had charges pressed against him, he would have really learned his lesson and paid for what he did. He couldn’t even comprehend he had committed battery in front of millions of witnesses. He went on the accept his award and then partied like a clown afterwards. It’s only now after the world is shocked and appalled at what he did, that he’s coming to terms with the crime he committed. And announcing he’s resigning his membership is a slap on the wrist.
