Swac Basketball 3/3-3/5/22

Devilettes: If you would have asked me if I thought the coach was gonna get one more year prior to last week, I would have said yeah but after the removal of Hunter (who actually had the team competitive), it's almost a forgone conclusion that she is toast especially when the interim AD (a Valley legend) was in Jackson watching the game and sees your team get dismantled and embarrassed by a coach who got hired the same time you did (without a brand new gym). I went shopping to try to miss most of the game and still ended up making it during the 2nd quarter and had to watch that slaughter lol. The new coach will have at least 8 spots open and it could be more (pretty much a brand new team). Like Ivory, the new coach will have to be from Mississippi and have those HS and JUCO connections

Delta Devils: If you would have asked me did I think Ivory deserved the job after what I saw against PB in person, I would have been hesistant but after seeing them lose to Alcorn at the buzzer and fight back to within 2 of JSU after losing 30 points of scoring since he got the job (replacing those 3 players with a walk on and two players who didn't even dress out most of the season (including Ivory's son)), it's no doubt we'll be aight (he will almost for sure have at least 7-8 spots and it could be upwards to 10 or more if Carpenter and his JUCO team mate don't return and the mid major transfer decommits)

I made the suggestion to give PV the January game permanently and TSU the march game permanently in Houston at 7:30 p.m. - hope it reaches the right folks lol - apparently everyone prefers coming to Houston - game didn't start until 8:30 lol but folks didn't care

sTu v pv has to be the best basketball rivalry in the conference.
Hey Herb, there happens to be another state-school rivalry in the conference that's pretty big also, enjoys a higher ranking, and garnered a larger attendance this season than sTu-pv.

No No No GIF

Just because you don't want to go home at a decent hour, don't mean others want to either.

Please don't move the game to the Toyota Center.

That was one of the worst moves ever.

NOT going to happen. That decision was in part due to the incompetence and mindlessness of an A.D. with no HBCU roots. I can't foresee a beneficial enough situation where Granger would make such a move knowing full well that idea failed miserably.

With that said, it was a good atmosphere, good crowd and come from behind win last Saturday night. Hopefully, things will only get better.

Man where do you TxSU guys park for the games? I hate getting stuck in the parking garage. Me and the wife just linger in the Arena cause off that.

I usually leave before the game ends.
Saturday l walked down to the floor and stood by the cheerleaders the last minute andahalf. As soon as the game ended I left out of the door by the weight room. I parked on the green level. I had no trouble getting out.
