Art Briles Update

If he gets past the UL board, the only hurdle left will be avoiding a trial on April 28th. If he clears both then ppl can complain all day because he’s good to go. If I read the article correctly, he could be in an at will position but that doesn’t help him. The board will look at baylor scandal and also the hs violations he had in 2019 before making their decision. I highly doubt this but if any pwi alumni (with money) in Louisiana deem him as a threat to their program then it ain’t looking good for him or gram. So now gram admin will need to prepare to justify hiring a guy that waco hs and southern miss wouldn’t hire.

Social media presence is critical in this landscape so my questions are 1. How does he recruit in the age of social media? If he creates a twitter page then he will be harassed. If gram pursues a highly rated recruit who announces the offer, they may get harassed. 2. He’s 66 years old, how does he relate to these kids? 3.Will businesses, on behalf of pwi alumni, avoid doing NIL deals with Grambling athletes?

I told my son, "I don't care who you date as long as she is respectful, goal orientated, believe in God etc.. However, if she is white, don't date a white girl that the white boys don't want." Because if you do, it will come with drama. I think that is what Gram is facing right now.
 
Ahhh yes JSU can fade into the background as Gram Iconically gets taken to the public community electric chair where the people will be judge, jury, and in the #MetooMovement and the Doug Williams posse of the worlds case, the executioner. He’s constantly trending on Twitter for negative reasons. Nothing Positive this far.
Today is just a mess like the other days. But worse. A PR nightmare.
 
Anybody else tired of Hugh Jackson already? Guys like him are a pain in the azz. This entire move to hire Briles is entirely about him with-out even the slightest bit of concern for Grambling. It reminds me of that Gibson fella, that was eventually let go from my TSU, when he foolishly tried to bring in Nathan Haymer to help out with the band with full knowledge that the man was still under felony indictment.

People like that are operating off of some very selfish motives. You Grambling folks better recognize if Hugh cared about your institution and its brand at all he never would have made this type of move.
