That's the same thing I was thinking. But.........The only problem is the crowds would have been no larger in Jackson.

LOLThe only problem is the crowds would have been no larger in Jackson. He just mad it is not in Jackson plus he is still carrying another grudge.
I feel you. To be honest, Smith Wills in Jackson my be to large for the Swac tournament. The only problem is the crowds would have been no larger in Jackson. He just mad it is not in Jackson plus he is still carrying another grudge.
I kinda feel get ready. It doesn't look right on tv with the crowd being small at those minor league baseball stadiums. The commish could've called Hattiesburg to see if there stadium could be used.
Yep Biloxi would attract more people but the stadium would be to large and expensive. New Orleans Wesley Barrow would be preferable. The minor league park in Biloxi would be more of a centralized location for the baseball tournament with the amenities that Biloxi has to offer relative to where the stadium is located in the city. That location IMO would make it more attractive for people to attend. I think its hard to judge the true size of the crowd at this years tournament because a lot of people were occupying the shaded areas of the stadium to stay out of the sun.
Definitely agree that Louisiana and Mississippi are the heart of SWAC country. The SWAC may be headquartered in Alabama but Louisiana and Mississippi are definitely the heart of SWAC country. If the events are not in those two states, they need to be in Houston which is home to the largest SWAC alumni base I think ... Houston or Atlanta are the biggest ... real close.
Adding BCU and FAMU was a great move and I don't understand your critique about Alcorn going to the West ... I think all these things are great shake ups for the conference
PV hid behind Covid after your season was obviously over. Dont worry, grambling did the same thing. But since our leadership is so weak and we didnt have a plan schools like yours were able to hide behind CovidUmmm GR, the PV season folded when the mighty JSU opted out of our game
I wanted him fired after the Edward Waters game....but let's see what happensAvis never happy… he will be calling for a Deion head in two years
There is so much wrong with this statement...both sentences. There's nothing wrong with the stadium in Jackson. The game was moved because SWAC schools was bitching and moaning because yall didnt want the SCG and SWAC trny in Jackson. That weak ass commissioner had to assure the SWAC schools that JSU would benefit financially from the SCG cause God forbid if someone black makes money off black folks.
- The commish is doing a outstanding job. Why wasn’t the stadium ready in Jackson
Outstanding job? Says who?The commish is doing a outstanding job. Why wasn’t the stadium ready in Jackson.

If centrality were the essence of location, then all SWAC activities would be held in Louisiana or Mississippi. But centrality won't work here because we should not give the financial benefit of hosting an activity to just the most centralized locations. I think the Conference should spread out the acticvities so that all swac-connected communities can have the opportunity to benefit from their SWAC affiliation. Just like Biloxi should be considered, so should New Orleans, Little Rock, Birmingham, Montgomery, Shreveport, and now Jacksonville, Orlando and the like.
Don’t take the tournament away from the folks that’s been supporting all season. Leave the tournament in Louisiana/Mississippi, both are centrally located. Both are short drives for the majority of the schools and the casual fans will come out also. Folks really supported the tournament in New Orleans, but the best tournament were in Baton Rouge.
