In all seriousness of purpose though, I think an investigation should be opened into the Alcorn opt out to determine if same was actually for Covid, or for some other reasons unrelated to the pandemic. There is great speculation that the "opt out" could have less to do with Covid and more to do with with some other issues, and is using Covid as a cover-up for those other issues. If the speculation proves true, Alcorn should not be let off the hook, but rather held to account.

I believe the commissioner had all of the intel and made what he thought was the best decision. You can only go so far with legislating Cowardice sprinkled well with incompetent behavior.....LOL

With the way this weather is going right now I doubt any SWAC team would be able to play this Saturday.
Can’t speak for Louisiana, Texas, Alabama or Mississippi, but the weather here in Arkansas is VERY unpredictable. I remember once back in 2017, the day started out freezing, by noon it was snowing and by the time I got home the sun was out shining like nothing happened.

Further back to 2012 (our championship year), 3 of our games were delayed due to weather (2 in Arkansas, 1 in Texas). One of those games in Arkansas was against JSU. That morning the temperature was in the low 60s; by game time we had freezing rain. The weather should definitely be a factor this Spring.

I agree but I think they will put this issue to rest. It was clear from the very start that they were lying. This may result in a few by-law changes tho.

And if true which it is then what? I would love for a investigation to happen just so all y’all could see how crazy this is.
