I blame @Oracle for this. The Oracle has issued so many wolf tickets until he has fans opting out on Alcorn's behalf.....LOL
When the fans sit down and think about it, they will like it.
See, Alcorn, which would have been a tough game is off our schedule and Southern's. Now we can add SU which will be an easier win on the championship trail.

Alcorns reasons for canceling the season is a lack of medical support and training staff... Players safety not just related to COVID.
I’ve been hearing this too. There’s more to this than what is being said. As I said before, the AD better move heaven and earth as they did for the white coach when he was there.... don’t mess over a good coach over ego.... THEE knows about it.... and I’ll leave it there.

We are game...Be sure to call the right people on the bluff and make it happen. Everybody I know likes pummeling the Jags big time!!!.

Will you all have a parade in the Rocket City when that losing streak ends? What is it now, 7 games? I understand your strong inclination for pummeling the Jags. LaCumba's Bully Ball have all kind of foes contemplating exacting redemption, waiting in long lines and folks helplessly waiting on "that day." LOL

Here is a question. Do you think both conferences should cancel spring Football?
If enough Athletic Directors and Presidents think so, then they will express their concern with Dr McClelland. Just consider this: the MEAC is playing a spring season with 6 football teams following multiple opt outs.

This may be a smart move by Alcorn for several reasons.

1. What is Alcorn football without tailgating and I expect to there to be many stipulations. when we went through those losing seasons with what's his face as coach, the grounds were full... they just did not pay to go into the stadium. And Alcorn makes a lot off tailgating, RV park, etc.
2. That virus is still out of control, and I don't think many players, students, would qualify for an immediate vaccine. Oh, and now there is another string of the virus out there.
3. Now the players have no excuse for not having there grades. A full year to concentrate on their grades.
4. Every time I got ready to watch a game doing the fall, I come in and see many cancellations. It got to come Friday, I was just betting on how many cancellations there would be. I expect the same to happen in the SWAC/

so does that mean alcorn is canceling/forfeiting basketball and other sports. This is the part that confuses me. I’ve said if you cancel one then you must cancel all. Can’t put one life ahead of the other. That’s why I’ve felt the swac is conflicted on canceling basketball. Cause it’s a hot mess right now with all the rescheduled games. Lol if they cancel basketball then they have to cancel football and they REALLY don’t want to cancel football.

I had thought about that also. Hell, basketball is more unprotected contact than football with those helmets on.

I just thought of something. By dropping Alcorn and adding Jags to the schedule, our spring record goes from possibly 5-1 to sure 6-0.

When we have the parade celebrating the SWAC championship and breaking that streak at the same time. If you want to be the sideshow, you can march in it with a sign about the losing streak.

COVID is just the underlying reason for Alcorn possibly pulling out. The primary reason is they are broke and nobody wants to work out there. Let them opt out but let's not let them change the narrative. They are just not prepared for a season. Their administration is in shambles and they only have one thing going right: FOOTBALL. So if they are willing to skip football that should tell you how fugged up the rest of the university is. Pray for them.
