Ohhh...but it really is.Rotflmao.. this ain't working for y'all lol.
Or it could be a hyper-sensitive D1 institution (whose football program hasn't seen a winning season in years) that doesn't like what's said about a prima-donna coach that takes its proverbial ball and goes home by blocking a media outlet on Twitter.
I’m not a fan of censoring media AT ALL. HBCU Sports is not a PR firm for any program.
However, JSU feels like you guys are attacking them at every corner. The stories about the masks (which was VERY trivial), on top of these articles, yeah it’s understandable that JSU’s team wouldn’t be too happy. The stories released the past two days weren’t “bad”...but it’s pouring gas on an already lit fire.
Lol get use to it come season JSU will steal the headlines win , lose, social media post, off field antics lol... after a while I just stop arguing and let a spade be a spade. Can this shit DiE already?!?!
I’ve had COVID-19, I get it. It’s serious.Ask my soror (who buried her husband (my frat) on Monday) or the other 300K people who died from COVID/had it in their system if it is trivial
I saw people get on Dancy on Facebook for half wearing a mask when they were in Jackson trying to change the flag so a much higher profile coach/brand like Deion should know better. And having 50-11 JSU fans on the other side feeling "attacked" (because HBCU Sports isnt carrying water for them like HBCU Gameday) doesn't change. It's still a bad look no matter what
We've published a bunch of content that's been favorable of both Deion and JSU since he was hired. And none of y'all spent 72 hours dissecting it.@Kenn Rashad @Kendrick yall should both know by now this is not how you build relationships! Feels like the bridge is burning at this point with fuel that was added by yall.
At some point, you have to evaluate your strategy to determine its effectiveness and intent. What was your intent in highlighting your ban from @gojsutigerfball? What was your intent to go after Prime in a series of articles that were negatively slanted?
It's sad that sometimes it's our own people that contribute to our collective demise and current lack of wisdom and faith. Perhaps it's time to do something different especially given the new age we are venturing into!
Let us not forget 2nd Esdras 6:9. Time for us to stop acting and doing the foolish things that create division and vitriol!
We didn't police every picture. It was literally ONE article discussing how Sanders placed himself and others in a compromising position. Considering how COVID has impacted college sports, yes, it was an appropriate observation to make. The SEC threatened to fine teams for not adhering to mask protocols. But we can't mention maybe it's not a good look for the head coach and his staff to be photographed and filmed in meetings not masking or social distancing?I’ve had COVID-19, I get it. It’s serious.
But that’s not really the issue. Everybody knows how serious the virus is. But policing every picture you see...every meeting (remember FAMU was on the receiving end of criticism earlier) can feel like absolute nit-picking. It’s not gonna change whether people wear masks, or social distance...we all have taken every precaution we can. Then to follow up with back to back articles aimed at JSU/Deion, it’s gonna ruffle feathers.
Sometimes you’ve gotta read the room.
