Pop lands son

I know I will probably get ran off the board for saying this, but I am not a fan of parents coaching their own kids.

As a coach's son, I know how difficult playing for dad can be.

For pops, it was simple - on the court, I was gonna get coached hard like everyone else, sometimes more just to make sure it was clear to everyone that there was no favoritism. Once practice was over, the coaching was over, and he was right back to being dad again.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting at the dinner table ready to explode because he just got on my a$$ a hour ago!! It was more me than him, but my personality just wasn't able to successfully separate the two.

So, it is not nearly as easy as some may think. For those who can successfully make that relationship work, kudos.

There is an expectancy. For example DJ was no where near as good as his father....but people felt that DJ was supposed to be. I think DJ would be a much more successful coach than his father. Only time will tell. The issue is how is success measured.

Great insight

Jalen Jones is on the clock and as ole bewildered say... ole coach prime got his good eye on him. It’s sink or swim time... he can play but taking care of the ball was his downfall this past season...A&M was winnable until he turned the ball over, Bethune winnable until he threw a pick 6 that changed the momentum of that game... time to grow up or get gone...

He'll definitely be challenged. Those boys Deione raised are ballers and have been in that environment. I know he raised one boy that was a running back. I am not sure where he is these days.

his boys are very competitive. I’m interested to see what The young QB can do for the SWAC. May the best man win the job & it equate to wins. lol that’s all I care about.

We shall see!
Unless you just can't.

A good read....

A good read....

I’ll only get excited for transfers now who actually have stats and legit PT. Some of these guys were over evaluated to begin with and fcs was the level they should’ve been on. Hence the position change

We’ve been burned too many times on an sec kid who has one step from being cut

As for sanders son - QB is a hard position to step into as a freshman so if he plays it’ll be up and down.

Bruh this is Deion's kid. Trust me when I say he is going to do everything in his power to make sure he's successful. Just wait until the staff is announced. We aren't playing any games at 1400 JR Lynch

More than the txfers incoming, I'm very curious to see the coaching staff he puts in place.

I wonder if someone's CURRENT HC is on his staff. ????????? Wouldn't that be something? *whistling*

Lol

It will be a lot of new names being welcomed to the Swac. TC, Otis, and coach Flea will be the only coaches with swac ties.
