The NFL’s 2019 rushing leader could be the 153rd highest-paid player in the league in 2020.

I would not spend big money on a RB. Especially not an RB like Derrick Henry.
For the record, I would give money to him before I gave money to Henry because I believe his game is more sustainable but overall, I would not give big money to any RB, white or black. But it was OK for the white RB?

Let me say, if the Titans give Henry a big payday, they will look stupid in 24-30 months. Mark this post.

I said more sustainable than Henry. Overall, RB's have short windows of production but he can still be a big asset in the passing game if he becomes less effective as a true RbHe had over 400 touches last year. 287 carries and 116 receptions and that is sustainable? Pleaseeeee!
They paid Tannerhill, and he didn't deserve a new contract.
Todd Gurley got paid and look what happened to him.
And what about the QB's that get paid and do nothing. Matt Schaub comes to mind along with Brock Oswelller for seven games, he got paid and did not hear a peep. White guy gets paid and we cheer, but there is a debate whenever it is the black player time to get paid. If Dak for instance was white, do you think it would be a contract dispute? Contract would have been done a while ago. No matter what color or position, player should get paid his value.
To be honest. There's nothing wrong with Gurley. It was McVay that screwed him and the Rams.Todd Gurley got paid and look what happened to him.

You want to talk about QBs. I am talking about RBs.
I am making a point that when any black rb ask for money, we scream. But you never hear of contract disputes of white ball players, mostly blacks. I am for anyone getting their money and RB's are included.

I am all for players getting their money. I just know how the RBs have become devalued and you can get one in the later rounds. I agree you don't hear of much disputes.
You don’t need a generational talent at running back to win in the NFL. As great as AD is/was, his team only got deep in the playoffs once. The best team of this era never had a great running back. The Giants have a talent like that at running back and aren’t gonna win anything unless they figure out the QB position. That is because in today's game, they throw the ball so much and some of the Wr's today were RB's 20 years ago. You can get an RB in the latter rounds! But can you get Adrian Peterson in the later rounds? Hell No! Generational Talent!

QBs, linemen (OL, DL) and WRs and DBs are where teams are investing heavily now.
Nobody said they weren’t, just they aren’t a position you should heavily invest in financially because the long-term payoff isn’t worth it.But the RB is still important!

That is what it is made to sound like! The investment should be in the trenches!
which is why teams teams routinely draft and sign more lineman to bigger deals than running backs.
