Man them other folks ain’t canceling the season. Postpone the start maybe. I just don’t see 45 and them white folks keeping this country shut down through the Fall. None of us need that to happen. The economy will be in depression mode or worse if we still like this in 5 months. Staying in until then will not save us in 5 months. If it’s still bad out. We’re done as a nation. The rest of world about to open up and ironically China is operating as normal. This is bigger than football.

Who is gonna risk their life catching the Corona virus with no cure just to watch a football game with thousands of people in a stadium? Sports aren’t being playing in China right now despite the country slowly opening back up and they’ve dealt with the virus longer than the US has.
Going back to normal too soon could detract from all the progress that’s been made to contain the spread. It’s only been a month here. That’s not really long enough when we don’t even have widespread testing and tracing like other countries do.

How long did it take for those to be found, tested and implemented? I don't trust the government with giving me any type of vaccine without true testing be done. I remember this failed attempt by the government to do this as a rush to judgement when I was in High School. I don't even get that flu shot they want you to take now.

Heck the mayor never said a word about the Bayou Classic. HBCU Gameday deduced this on their own.
The AD at Dillard said as much, saying schools would be hesitant to risk liability by allowing students back on campus at this point.
Students at Liberty University are trying to sue the school for forcing them to go back on campus at the early stages of the pandemic.
It’s hard to see football being played this year until there is a safe way to do it.
