And they won too!! Very sad for those parents and family members that couldnt see those boys play and bring home a championship

Alexandria Senior High (ASH) School's coach (Lance Brasher) won a State Championship as a player at Peabody (my alma mater). Peabody also won the 4A State Championship for 9th time. Both the 5A and 4A Championships were won by Alexandria schools. Peabody's coach (Charles Smith) is now the winningest coach in Louisiana High School Basketball. He surpassed Southern Lab's former coach (Joel Hawkins) during the playoff. I'm sure he would easily have over 1,100 wins before he retires. Probably by next season. He's currently at 1,074 wins. All he needs is 26 wins to hit 1,100.

Peabody's Charles Smith sets Louisiana wins record as Warhorses return to Lake Charles

Peabody cruised to a win over McMain as its legendary coach Charles Smith broke former Southern Lab coach Joel Hawkins' record for wins with 1,072.

Lincoln Prep lost and we really believe it was because of the lack of fans....a few of the guys came over Sunday and they said it was the fans that keep them pumped and motivated.

The last time we won a basketball championship was my senior year in 1992.
