Mr. ESPN'S HBCU Sexual Intellect got a DUI.

After almost running over that marked police unit, he's lucky he didn't get shot. I guess that's the perks of being a Black Maryland law maker. And I'm sure they didn't give him the Freddie Gray treatment.

He does the same to SU lol

I still remember him trying to poke fun at SU by saying that they named a street after Coach Rob in Baton Rouge in SU's backyard, not realizing that Coach Rob's hometown is Baton Rouge. It's also LSU's backyard, which the street (Eddie Robinson Sr. Drive) is closer to LSU than SU. Look like before he made an ass of himself on ESPN, he would have asked himself the question, " why did the City of Baton Rouge name a street after Coach Rob?" I'm sure he would have found his answer. Also, I'm sure in the process of his research of street names, he would have learned that the main road (RWE Jones Drive) leading onto Grambling's campus was named after a SU grad. Like I stated, he was a Long Beach State transfer from California who knows very little about HBCUs, but ESPN thinks he's the greatest since he somewhat made Howard's football relevant when he was there. To say he is a Howard grad, he's definitely not that bright.

If you read the comments, it's not hate, just facts. The dude has been lucky due to the ESPN's ignorance of HBCU. At least find somewhat who can provide TRUE facts about HBCUs. Not some clown who let anything fly out of their mouth.

So is texting and talking on a cellphone. More folks die and crash involved with those two things than anything.

Maybe because they don't do random sobriety tests for texting and talking on cellphones while driving. He made the choice to drive while intoxicated and then tried to run over a police car in his Ford F-150. I'm sure that alcohol told him he was in a much bigger vehicle which automatically grants him the Right of Way. Now that's just straight dumb.

I have never been drunk nor high in all my years of living. Knowingly or intentionally driving under the influence of any substance is hazardous, foolish and potentially deadly.

With that said, I see no reason to relish in the short-comings, down-fall or self-inflicted wounds/mistakes of any person even when I find it personally offensive.

I admit up front I could be totally wrong, but some of you are coming off as happy to see the man take a fall.

They don't because people justify what they pick and choose to be wrong. Everyone isn't perfect like you. Everyone doesn't have a perfect life like y'all.

I see a lot of folks from Alabama are here defending his irresponsible actions. I guess they idolize him for the ESPN broadcast of the Magic City Classic. I didn't realize Jewel aka Jay was that big of a celebrity in BAMA.

If we dont have to hear his annoying voice on tv anymore, do we count that as a win?

If he was a random Joe aka Pookie, would you all be defending him or would yall be clowning him and calling him a stupid "n" word for trying to run over a cop?

What you're saying sounds like projection. I was quite clear in what I wrote. I have seen thousands of people take a down-fall over my last 31years of living. At this stage of my life I fully accept mankind is flawed whether it is Jay or Pookie. Some like to kick a man when he's down and I get that, i just happen not to be one of them.

No argument from me. That is why I make a conscious effort to pull over if I need to call someone and never text and drive.

For the record my comments are strictly about drinking and driving. I have not commented on Jay Walker the person.

31? That's it? You got alot of living young fella.

Marion Barry was given a second chance. He was elected to another term as DC's mayor even after being video taped hitting/smoking on a crack pipe. I tell you, Black folks in the DC metro area will definitely give someone a second chance, no matter how bad one's character.
