As of October 12, 2019, JSU's current average home attendance is 33,639. JSU is poised to break it's 1997 attendance record if we can get fans in the stands for the Arkansas-Pine Bluff game.

The Tigers led the division in home attendance 13 times in the 20-year period from 1983-2002; they set the division record in 1997 with an average of 38,873 fans a game.

Jackson State Celebrates 100 Years of Football

The Jackson State football program is celebrating its 100th season in 2011. And, considering the accomplishments of the Tigers' program, when the role of the preeminent HBCU football programs is checked it shouldn't take long for their name to be called.

Post a pic of the home side of the stadium to end of the horseshoe. Now add those on the visitor's side. The 60,492 seat stadium was half full or half empty on Saturday. Attendance is correct! ;)

Comparing the two pics, and assuming the 2016 attendance was correct, there is no way JSU's 2019 homecoming crowd exceeded 35,000. Based on the 2016 pic, I would assume a 2019 crowd of between 25,000 to 28,000.

Now it is entirely possible that the 2016 pic attendance could have been incorrect! That attendance looked to exceed 50,000 to the naked eye.
 
You cant compare current attendance numbers to any pictures/numbers b4 Ashley became AD.. B4 Ashley JSU would under count even the most packed games. Even JSU fans couldn't understand the reason for the under count. Every since Ashley became AD attendance numbers have been spot on. And thanks benard for showing the home side and the endzone of JSU Homecoming 2019. Some act like jsu is a one sided stadium, just going off the visitors side. They dnt understand that in 60k seat stadium 30k doesnt feel up the ENTIRE stadium like it would do EVERY OTHER STADIUM in the swac. If you took everybody in the stadium and put them in half the stadium it would have been a full half of the stadium which is 30k so yes, 33k was dead on

I wouldn't pay too much attention to him. He is just miserable because the Southern University Football Jaguars beat the living crap out of those undisciplined panthers.......Again. Misery loves company so don't be his company.......LOL

Being at the game, It looked to be over 40k in attendance.

your a bama fan correct and you agree to ATLEAST the recorded attendance of 35k right ??? For all these folks that love to discredit jsu fan base. Should be supportive of an HBCU supporting there school especially with a 1-5 record.
