More than what would have been on either campus to see it. The Chicago Classic is an annual thing. They paid and convinced the schools to play in the game.It made no sense to have that game in Chicago
19K is still a bigger number than many non HBCU teams see in FCS vs FCS contest.

Grambling just played in it a couple years ago.Not going to happen. Some SWAC schools aren't going to approve 12 hour bus rides for it's students, they want charter airline flights.

It was in 2017 when Grambling was good.The Tigers, who have lost 18 straight games to NCAA opponents, were coming off of a 48-0 loss to Alcorn State in the Circle City Classic at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Oct 13 after making an exhausting 17-hour bus trip when tensions hit the breaking point during a contentious meeting with the administration last Tuesday.
