NCAT FBS Bound?

And the ICONIC Grambling State University Fighting Tigers will have something to say about the Prairie View A&M University Football Panthers having something to say about the Southern University Football Jaguars having something to say about Alcorn State's run.

There's gonna' be some round-robin ass whoopings being metted this fall. We know GSU is salty from fall 2018 like we're salty w/ Southern how they ungraciously came into our home and disrespected AND how Southern is PO'd at Alcorn St for ruining their HC'ing AND their SWAC championship hopes.

The rest of the SWAC, get out of the way because there's gonna' be some head knocking going on among those 4.

Whomever moves up, more power to them and I'll have to pull for them. However, I would have liked to see a group of HBCU(s) move up at the same time and form their own conference. Would love to see S.U., Gram, JSU, Bama State, A&T, FAMU, TNST, TSXU & PVU take the plunge together with a conference formed.

Add in Hampton or Howard to even it out

Between PV, GSU, and SU will be head knocks!!!!! The East just doesn't have the SWAG.

Again MONEY.

Would A&T have this thought if they were still having win less seasons? See winning in football makes people think big....until reality kicks in.

Until reality kicks in lol..I’m sure our chancellor knows about the finances of our university...Again >>no timeline<< was mentioned so I’m just going to go with you are a hater and enjoy the rest of my day. Just because it hasn’t been done you don’t know what WE (A&T) are able to do in the future..How do you know we’re not gona get a major sponsorship in the next few years? How do you know the alumni giving rate isn’t going to triple? I don’t know either..but I look forward to the positives rather than the negatives..This is why I barely like other HBCU ppl..just a bunch of HAS BEEN haters. It’s been fun..but I’m going to leave this forum to the swac ppl with no vision. Funny how no one thinks we can make the move..but if we include other HBCUs we can..lol laughable.

I want to take this in a different direction. If A&T or any of our schools moved up, how are we feeling about have more white people on campus? I mean, if A&T not only moved up but was successful, the colonizers are going to move in. The schools growth would explode but there's a significant chance that the mission of the university to educate talented minority students that may not have gotten opportunities elsewhere could be lost. Thoughts?

White people already choose A&T over other schools solely ubecause of their engineering programs. Wouldnt exactly be something new.

You're on a message board and will see different opinions. None of it is law. Not sure why you're so upset. If it was meant to be, it will happen regardless of what anyone says......LOL Two people can see the same rock and have a total different perception. It's just the way humans were built. I am not sure it is hate but only a different perspective. That is your business though if you choose to personalize varying opinions. It's not good for your blood pressure though....LOL

Brother, I understand your stance and I personally hope that your institution finds that this opportunity is attainable. I understand and respect the unknowns surrounding the transition (planning, fact finding, and other exploratory activities). I wish you and your school, administration, fans, alum, et. al. the best of luck if and when the potential transition is realized...But you have to stop stereotyping and "lumping" all SWAC affiliated people as haters and lacking vision. If you choose to not interact with people from other HBCUs that is your right and privilege. But this banter and venom you are spewing sounds spot on as highly emotional (@The Founder). You are in a public forum, people are going to disagree, multiple angles, advantages, disadvantages, pros/cons will be discussed on a myriad of topic serious and fickle in nature. Best way to drive your point home is to be a catalyst for your university reaching this goal and then come back in 2023 and say, Look what WE did.

Between PV, GSU, and SU will be head knocks!!!!! The East just doesn't have the SWAG.

Let's just remember that the bottom team in the SWAGLESS East should have been the 2nd place team in the West for their Homecoming last year and that team has to come to Rice-Totten this year. I guess everyone is just doing their usual boasting and just blowing off Valley (and UAPB in the West). I would tell people to go and check out the roster but they'll just let their ego say "it's just Valley"

As far as the "hating" being done on A&T, what everyone is saying is that they don't want the Aggies to be like FAMU. The way that football has elevated the entire athletic program has been great to see and the athletic department is probably the best in HBCU land so if it is anyone that I would trust at this point it's them (although my caution is that their athletics are so dependent on student fees). As someone said, they didn't say that they were definitely moving up but every option is being explored including FBS. Plus they won't do like Hampton who basically moved because of the ego of one person.

Plus all the programs in the MEAC have to build their programs to compete with A&T which is a good thing (same with Alcorn in the SWAC with programs having to build their programs to compete with their physical team. Case in point Valley beefing up on the DL with recruits/transfers). Plus there are a few SWAC/MEAC interesting match ups this year (JSU/BCU, Valley/BCU, SU/FAMU) that will determine how far the SWAC has come as far as catching up to the MEAC overall

What if the white population of the university skyrocketed to around 50% with an enrollment of about 20k? I loved A&t and so did my son. He said it smelled like barbque and barber shops. We just missed the scholarship deadline for the big money so he ended up at clemson. otherwise I'd have to make that drive to aggieland.

Lol I’m not mad...why would I be mad at a bunch of ppl I don’t know? (My university is thriving all over) I’m just voicing an opinion like everyone else...If my delivery gives off mad/In my feelings then that’s unfortunate my guy. I wouldn’t expect support from a swac or meac board..I’m just responding to how ridiculous most of u sound. Again, Our chancellor didn’t mention a time line so I’m lost on all of the naysayers. Good thing our leadership doesn’t have a one track mind. I am slightly jealous of the bands(JSU/SU)/game day experience(If they are all like that su/alcorn championship game I watched).

The comments/hate toward NCAT is downright sad! Meanwhile, we will go sit our azz in church for numerous hours praying to "White Jesus." But, we don't have any solutions to better our situation.

I guess, some of us are fine with getting blasted by 60, and saying, we play P-5 team to future recruits.

Nobody is hating on them

What is the point of going to FBS if you arent in a P5 conference?

Why in the hell would some of yall prefer playing in the empty ass Bahama Bowl, Birmingham Bowl, or Magnolia Bowl as opposed to the Celebration Bowl, that actually matters?

G5 students/alumni dont support their teams. They damn sure as hell wont support them when they are playing NCAT or any other HBCU.

Wiregrass is always adding false narratives to posts. I don't think too many people here don't support what ever A&T decides to do in the final analysis.

Nice post, however the SWAC has passed the MEAC in overall talent and competition.
