North Carolina A&T defeated Alcorn State 24-22 in a game that had it all, including big plays and controversial calls. It was A&T’s third Celebration Bowl win in the game’s four-year history and it will be universally recognized as the HBCU national champion. However, despite what announcers and others would lead you to believe, the Celebration Bowl is NOT the HBCU national championship game. You can get mad, glad or dance a two-step, but it simply isn’t. Here is why:

Let's remember that ol boy is a WSSU alum so take this particular article with a grain of salt

The only thing different between this and previous years is Hampton is added to the picture as far as schools crying about not being in the Celebration Bowl pic

Hampton and Tenn State choose to not be a part of an HBCU conference hence why they won't and shouldn't be included in this game.

Yep, typical black people. They remind me at black people who move out the hood, think they are above their race but when something happens to make them seem black here they come screaming Black Lives Matter lol

The article is OK. What is the solution? Is he arguing for the sake of arguing or is their a better way to determine the HBCU Football Champion?

Dude is arguing for the sake of arguing. If he had a solution he would have included it.

Theere is really no solution. The SWAC and MEAC are the only FCS HBCU conferences. The other HBCUs are part of conferences that are lower tier and have different NCAA policies....but he didn't note that aspect.

I just look at it as a post season game.
It is a Bowl Game set up for the MEAC and SWAC champions.
People can get mad at the statement but Its not a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game no matter how hard you want it to be.

When did Hampton cry or mention not being included in this game?
Hampton bolted because they DIDN'T want to be a part of a conference that didn't participate in the playoffs.
Hampton nor Tenn St has not said a word on this one way or the other.

NC A&T being BCF National Champions this year is an easy pick to me. I don't believe anyone else in the country this year other than the aforementioned is better than Alcorn as well. Perhaps he should have came up with the argument in another year when there is a little more controversy. I'm pretty sure A&T followed by Grambling was the best last year as well. Right now it appears he is arguing the sun isn't bright...

Tuskegee can compete for a SWAC or MEAC title every year..wish they were in one of the conferences so they would have a shot but it is what it is

This past year, Alcorn, Southern, Grambling. AAMU and PV would have destroyed Tuskegee. The JSU that played at the end of the year probably would have held em to a TD or less. Even UAPB and Valley probably could have RPOed 35-42 points on them

Langston and Bowie State were the best sub-D1 teams this year with Miles getting hot late to win the SIAC
