Army Navy Game 2018

Nobody cared about this game when I was in the service lol

I served with guys from Cali & the northeast and they didn’t give a damn about football period. I would be the only one watching this when they had it on in the chow hall

Do people still watch this game? LOL

Absolutely! Do you see that crowd in Philly. It’s being watched globally.

Army Navy is like the Bayou Classic it will never die.

People still watch. One of the premier rivalries. Kids playing for pride for the service institution that they are serving for! Not for the brief cases of money that most of these kids at these P5 schools.

I had an uncle who was in the Navy for 20 years. He NEVER said anything about the Army-Navy game. But, he'd talk all day about the Washington Redskins.

I'm sure it's a bigger deal to those who attend or have attended the actual military academies vs those who just enlisted in the Army and Navy

When I worked at the Pentagon the week before this game was like a smack scene between HBCUs.

The Air Force always felt left out like they were the red head step child.

My cousin graduated from West Point. He goes to the Army/Navy game each year. I watch it sometimes when I'm not busy. It's not a must-see game for me.

Yea this is true....their games just don't get the hype that the Army/Navy game gets.

That's because the US Air Force didn't become a separate Armed Force until after WW2 in 1947. US Air Force Academy was founded in 1954. For example the men who were The Tuskegee Airmen were part of the Army Air Corps during WW2, which became the Air Force later on. Army vs Navy had been going on since the 1890.

So the Army vs Air Force or Navy vs Air Force just don't have that same following.
