You are very kind to leave out a certain SWAC team located in Arkansas, but my boys contributed to a "not up to par" Western Division. Hopefully we (Golden Lions) can re-group, re-strategize, and rebuild up to being a legitimate threat in the West.

But this is the Southern/Alcorn thread. We can all say what we want, but Southern is the Western Division Champion. Perhaps they didn't have the season they're used to having, but they did earn the top spot in the West. They had convincing wins over each opponent they beat (AAMU was a close game). I can only guess as to whether it's a "mental" thing with the Jags when it comes to Alcorn, I really don't know. Truth be told, I think all 10 of us have that with a team or two in the Conference. But at the end of the day, the Jags are the Western Division champions because 7 teams (including my Golden Lions) failed to handle their business when it came to Southern.

I know you feel some type of way when it comes to Southern, but that's how it is, my heart. That's just how it is.

We enjoyed the game-day atmosphere, the tailgating and the back and forth with you guys..GEAUX BRAVES!! Beat A&T..!!!

That is the million dollar question! Because I loved watching this game. It made you feel that you was there or wish you was there!
 
Loved the win. However I must say that BigHead that you are the most fair-weathered fan that I know from SU. All SU fans I know are very cool. I am going to get Skeliton his props. He is good. However he got to face someone in the SWAC who could contain his legs. Two things that kept this game closer than it really was. Southern defese and Alcorn penalties. Bighead you did all that bragging like y’all was going to blow us away. Soon as something goes wrong for southern you say southern sucks and Odom’s needs to be fired

Y'all beat us but we pulled our starting QB late second qtr and they didn't put him back in. Looking back I think that losing that game helped the QB make better decisions in the games to follow but also the coaches reevaluate the offense to make the adjustments that were really needed.
