"You Can't Count on a Black QB"

I'm gonna disagree about Vick not having the pieces he needed. To be honest Schaub came in and did even better with that same team. A legit question though is, why have there never been any black Tom Brady's or Dan Marino's? And the whole they don't give them a chance thing is really a stretch because owners want to win period. If he exists, he's gonna play. Cam has started for a while but still he makes sketchy decisions quite often and his deep ball is suspect. I dunno, black qb's ball in college but it just rarely seems to translate in the nfl. Why that is I have no idea. It's like when you see a QB come in and play, you just kinda see from the start when that QB is gonna be special. Kinda like this Mahomes dude. It usually doesn't take 10 years to show.

You are reading my mind. Aside from say Warren Moon most Black QBs are either an athlete playing QB or a dink and donk, risk averse QB like Teddy Bridgewater. The decision making and ability to read defenses is seemingly lacking in most Black QBs. I can't think of another way to say this...I know my comments may offend some but it's not my intention.

This has to do with money. White parents have it and will spend it for there kid's numerous camps and private coaching to be better QBs, pitchers, soccer players, batters, etc. Most low income parents do not have the disposable income to do so. This has nothing to do with intellectual ability to play a position.

I mean to be fair, there are far more white qb's that get to the league and don't pan out solely because of overall numbers. But for whatever reason you just don't see that black QB that comes in the game and pulls off what dudes like Brady, Rogers or Brees do. I mean look at Mahomes, Wentz...ive always wondered why you just don't see the black qb's come into the league and do as well. I mean it's not like Wentz was groomed at some major PWC, dude went to NDSU. But, he likely would've been league MVP last year if he didn't get hurt.

This long-held belief is what kept so many black football players from even being considered for QB back in the day, as coaches — labeling the position a cerebral one — didn’t think blacks were smart enough to excel at it.

And when black QBs do excel, it’s always supported under the guise of their physical attributes more than their minds, which is highly offensive.

Patrick Mahomes out here making it look like Madden on rookie mode and all anyone wants to talk about is his arm, not what’s between his ears that’s made him successful.

If you're going to make such profound and nonsensical comments like this, at least have the guts and common sense to tell the whole story and not just half.
We've had some of the worst NFL QB's of all time who are white, so where do they fit in this conversation? We've also had a disproportionate ratio of Black and white QB's, so how does that fit into the equation?
For you to make the kind of comment you just made, there seems to be some deep-seated inferiority complex within yourself that perhaps you need to look into. That's IF you're Black.

I must agree with you 100% on this. That is the exact same thing I was thinking.

Proud to be Black and I know I'm not inferior to any man. But, I stand by what I said.

But still no one has a real answer other than it's the white folks fault. What's the real reason? And it isn't about no high school football camps either.

So what about the dozens of pathetic white QB's the NFL has had? What's the real answer to that theory other than it's Black folks fault?
You voluntarily choose to totally ignore the many, many pathetic white QB's given chance after chance for success and fail, so what's the problem with their QB intellect?
