Is N. C. A&T worthy to be ranked No. 1 in top 25 poll? We asked voters who thought so

I think so. But you know with us being an Hbcu the finish line is always pushed foward to a line we can't cross. Meaning the white folks will say, " if there so good, they should play in the playoffs not the that n****r bowl in ATL". A&T know doubt should be number 1. I dont think those Dakato schools could deal with that southern heat.

+1.

Yes. Their resume is currently better than the teams above them. Plus they had to climb from #14 with most of their team returning

The pollsters sandbagged NCAT

I told one of the pollsters this on Twitter. We knew they were bringing back most of their team back but they still had them at #14 in the polls. Plus I'm sure the pollsters didn't think they would beat JSU and ECU in back to back weeks

That remains to be seen. NC A&T will obviously have a bit more to prove since there's no clear history of them being this good.

So my next question would be... Should Ohio State be #1 over Alabama, then? Better "resume" this season... using @In_The_662 wording.
Based on recent history, Ohio State would get blown out by any top four team south of the Mason-Dixon line.
Folks do this every year, build up Big Ten teams, only to see them get blownout again and again.

So is that a Yes? And if so, why? A&T is great but they are hamstrung by their offense. NDSU would easily beat every team A&T has beaten.

Yes, if anywhere except Fargo. A&Ts defense and special teams are good enough to make it ugly for NDSU. A&Ts defense can create turnovers and stop the run. Offense is pedestrian, but it’s effective enough to sustain drives and flip field position.

Fargo Dome is tough to win at for any FCS team. They have a tremendous home field advantage there.

I think voters aren't evaluating NCAT based on what it has done this season. It's combination of what they've done through three games in 2018 and going unbeaten last year.

Last I checked, Ohio State lost two games last season.

We had a lot kids returning but also had to replace all but one starter on the offensive line. This is why we were dropped to #14 in preseason polls.

Let’s not forget fellas, it’s hard for voters to put teams in the top 3 when they are coming from conferences that don’t usually keep teams in the top 10. The “unknown” good teams always have to fight harder for respect in any poll. There was no way UCF was going to be ranked #1 although there resume was impressive. Folks will hold their conference affiliation against them. A&T is in a good place right now. The Aggies just have to keep winning to prove heir point. I don’t see racism here...............just yet.

I think they are currently ranked correctly @ #3 or #4.

Jax'ville State will not win the OVC this year & ECU is ECU.

Just keep winning A&T.

They’ll get plenty more number one votes after Delaware beats NDSU in Fargo.

U are...

I think A&T is in the top five. Not yet number one but I also realize the game of football is played on the field not on paper. It would be a good game to watch.
