A&T beats ECU (at ECU) and then ECU blows out UNC

A&T is looking even more impressive! They are the KINGS of NC as far as I'm concerned!

The Celebration Bowl has already been decided in my head LOL I hate to say it but I just don't see anyone coming close to beating them in the SWAC unless maybe they have some key injuries which has never really been an issue in the past

They didn't play UNC.

Sleeping on Prairie View just a bit, aren't ya?

Also, there are four games that A&T could potentially trip up in during the regular season...keep an eye on the FAMU, SCSU, BCU and NCCU games. I've watched way too much MEAC football to think that A&T can coast through the season...let downs can and do happen.

They are definitely playing the best football right now in NC. They definitely have been the best football team over the past 3-4 years hands down

That's true, but pundits still use it...especially in basketball when it comes to selecting teams of the tournament.

True. Some pundits do. I know Kirk Herbstreit busted out that the transitive property doesn't work in sports more than once on gameday.

I agree, unless they have some key injuries, they will go undefeated again. I'm a SWAC guy, but I have seen A&T play various teams and their defense is what puts them in another class among SWAC and MEAC. I hope whomever wins the SWAC, wins the Celebration Bowl, but I seriously doubt it. I see certain teams in the SWAC stepping up their game and probably 2 years away from competing with A&T, but A&T is currently in a class by themselves and plays grown man football.

So you're giving the SWAC to PV but not giving the MEAC to A&T? lol

Of all the SWAC teams I’ve watched so far, Prairie View impresses me the most...should’ve beaten Rice, dominated an NCCU team that has consistently been at the top of the MEAC in recent years(and has taken 2 of the last 3 from A&T), and played Sam Houston State very tough. Not counting any SWAC team out...but PV looks strong, and there’s no denying it.

And it’s hard for me to give the MEAC to A&T when I know FAMU is gonna walk up in their stadium and leave with the dub...but I’m an arrogant Rattler, so there’s that.

Seriously though, I’ll be able to solidify how I feel about FAMU’s chances against A&T following the JSU game this weekend. I saw some positives in our loss against Troy that has me hopeful against FCS defenses.

Central won it (outright or shared) the previous 3 years.

Central shared in 2014, and 2015 ... won outright in 2016. Lost to Grambling in 2016 Celebration Bowl
NCAT shared in 2014 and 2015 ... won outright in 2017. Beat Alcorn in 2015 Celebration Bowl & Beat Grambling in 2017 Celebration Bowl

So basically you're being a homer. LOL What has FAMU showed you?

I am impressed by PV's little running back. Reminds me of Tarik Cohen. But will he do it for an entire season? Can his QB be consistent enough to take advantage when SWAC teams stack the box?

Well, I really like Simmon’s offense...he really does know how to create some mismatches on offense. Against Troy, we moved the ball fairly well...just turned the ball over 5 times, which led to 35 points for Troy...I guarantee you don’t see that type of sloppy play the rest of this season.

I love that we have a nice stable of running backs that give us a nice change of pace. Troy focused on shutting the run down early, daring us to throw...and we had some nice plays. Once Troy realized that had to cover our receivers, we finally had some running lanes open up. I think our receivers(Hunter, Williams and Smith) may be the best Corp we’ve had since Joe Taylor was the head coach.

Either way, FAMU has always had talent...just some very incompetent coaching.

It's a mistake to sleep on S.U. (hear me now, believe me later).

There is a team called North Carolina State that is lurking right on the outside of the FBS top 25.....IMJS...
