We are close to the start of training camp in a little under a month. With that being said I wanted to take the time to ask you guys who are the coaches that are on the hot seat in HBCU Football both FCS & D2.

(1) Tony Hughes - Tony Hughes seat is hell hot. I believe that if he doesn't win at least 5 games this year and a 2nd place finish in the EAST they will be calling for his head. He has proven to have a decent defense especially a good Front 7, but his offense has been nothing to write home about. Jackson St. going to have to develop a running game that has been lacking every since Comegy has been gone. The Jackson St. faithful is not going to continue to put up with losing seasons. I believe that if Jackson St. don't challenge for the EAST this year they will be calling for his head.
(2) Mike Haywood - His seat is hot, just not as hot as Tony Hughes seat. He had an advantage over Tony Hughes due to the fact that he have been a HC before at Ohio University. He is at a disadvantage because he has been out of coaching over 5 years. The expectations are a lot higher at Jackson St. but he is going to have to establish a winning culture at Texas Southern.
Agree and agree. Comegy’s running game was built on JSU always having the most physical offensive lines in the SWAC. I remember watching those guys pushing Mississippi State around. Whoever that offensive line coach was, JSU should be trying to bring him back.
And why exactly are you worried about Odums and furthermore shouldn’t reaching the celebration Bowl be the goal for everyone?I'm wondering if Odums is on the hot seat. I really believe SU wants a Celebration Bowl win and appearance bad. It seems that Fobbs has his number.

Teheeheehee!!And why exactly are you worried about Odums and furthermore shouldn’t reaching the celebration Bowl be the goal for everyone?
So you're saying that southern is satisfied with mediocrity. Sounds about right. There is only 2 coaches in the Swac in the hot seat and that is jsu's from the east and stu's from the west.
So you're saying that southern is satisfied with mediocrity. Sounds about right.
I'd say Hughes is sitting in a warm seat! Lol! He has made some bold personnel changes on the Offensive side of the ball who are in turn bringing in a change in the offensive game-plan as well as additional personnel to instill it. We always keep a high ranking Defense. I think he'll get at least 1-2 years to see how this new Offensive scheme works.
We're not going to fire a coach that has had us in contention for the title all five of his seasons as the full-time head coach while dealing with all of the NCAA troubles we had during that time period. We've seen what has happened to JSU and A&M after firing a winning coach. So you're saying that southern is satisfied with mediocrity. Sounds about right.

Nope. Worm did all he did with scholly restrictions, practice restrictions and no spring drills. This spring was the first time he ever had spring drills.
Southern was competitive that entire time. Now Worm’s contract is up after the 2019 season. Going to be interesting to see what he does in these next two seasons.
So you're saying that southern is satisfied with mediocrity. Sounds about right.
Let's see, 3 SU fans saying that isn't true while a Grambling fan is trying to say he is on the hot seat. How that work? lolSU wants a Celebration Bowl Championship...they don't get one by 2019....Worm is gone.
We've had a winning season each of Odums' 5 seasons here while dealing with all of the NCAA mess. Most coaches would have left or used it as an excuse to have losing teams. Odums kept it pushing and will now reap the benefits in 2018 and 2019.The sad part is I'm trying to state that SU is not satisfied with mediocrity but you have SU fans basically saying that they are per se....LOL
