Finally someone is serious about a program. This is how you do it, I’ve been saying this all alone but those don’t understand Won’t understand. I remember when we was thinking about hiring James Willis he had some baggage. Then TXSU hire a man with baggage that was “the savior to Miami OH” he got in trouble but that 300k making him seem like a good man. Then he hasn’t won anything has a AARP recipient as his OC. Once again that O Line was horrible but the guy came from JSU. I talked to some guys there and they tell me the stories about Haywood all I can do is lol

A coach once told me you can’t get sugar out of shit. I don’t think you can totally blame the OL coach/scheme for the lack of results. I think part of our problem is talent. We have one of the smallest o-lines in the SWAC. How much did Jackson’s offense improve without our o-line coach?

The way I hear it the old man is the best thing TSU has going. He came in with an Old School no-nonsense get it right or get on the sideline mentality No favorites, no games.

Charles Mc made a mistake, he thought the same formula that worked for basketball would work for football. We’re finding out football is much more complicated. I think facilities make a difference. Our basketball facilities are much better than the football facilities. We have found out what works for us in other sports, we are still trying to figure out this football thing. In Charles Mc I trust.

But Isn't this like the 3rd football coach mcclelland has hired while At TSU? And why have y'all turned on BBVA?
 
The coaches we have hired were under sanctions. That infractions letter plus our dilapidated fieldhouse has made football recruiting at TSU poor at best. Except for PV, BBVA stadium is one of if not the best in the conference. I have to grade on the curve. This current coach must show substantial improvement. Did CMAC hire Johnny Cole. If he did its was the peoples choice so that is not on him.

Swangin Jonny - We all know how that went "sanctions"
Azzberry - didn't have a chance and was bitter in the end. He knew what it was when he arrived.
Haywood - the Savior, looking bad but still under contract.

I believe the next football hire will be the make or break for v.p.
Haywood has really been his only real fugg up.
Celeb, pushed j.c. in so I blame him for that debacle, C knew who he was and what he would do.
 
Cole was hired before Charles came on board. Johnny was interim A.D. briefly before Charles arrived. Alums memory should be better than what I'm reading. Alois Blackwell hired Cole in a desperate attempt to save his job.

I was just listing who the last 3 coaches but you shole is right about swinging johnny, I remember he thought he was going to be A.D. and H.C. for a minute or two. That would have really been something to see.
 
Johnny have cheated everywhere he been he is a NCAA sanction waiting to happen. The Cole brothers will win you some games but will also get you the death penalty. Simply put if the Football program wants to be successful in Houston and one of the most talented states for Football they will have to hire someone that will be willing to change the culture there. Loosing is a mindset winning is contagious they may have to hire a guy that’s a Coordinator. The salary is definitely interesting there I’m sure you can attract people with the money but you need to win because Texas has so many players in state you don’t have to leave to field a team and that will help with ticket sells and program support. I know that you will be able to get good talent regardless of the situation.
 
Not on everything, spades, chess, wife, taxes, recruiting, See i have named five things he is innocent of. Never use everything. Never mind the recruiting. I am thinking of replacing that one.

*raising hand* :( I believe in JC and LC Cole, still. Proper monitoring and accountability in place, I believe they could INSTANTLY change a football playing school's fortunes almost overnight.
 
If Texas Southen fires a man with a 6-11 record after taking over a rebuilding program with sanctions, then they will have a very hard time finding another quality guy. If he has a horrible season this year, then I could understand the frustration. He is in year 3, and this is the year that coaches usually show where their program is going. The pressure is on him to show what he is about now.

We haven't had an oline since 2013 and last year we didn't have a QB (ran the wildcat towards the end of the year with a RB as we well as a WR at QB). It's hard to gauge how good or bad they were being that we didn't have the threat of a passing game. The Air Raid scheme should fit perfectly with a weak to somewhat decent OL since the QB has to get the ball out quickly. You guys will see more this year being that I think yall have a new OC etc. The Swac as a whole should be quite interesting with all the new coaches
 
Movie Script, Johnny Cole returns, wins swac against Fobbs and TSU alums and players hoist JC in celebration. Show of hands in favor. Not everyone at once. Yall know with JC we will score some points.
